Hello, My D.o.W. username is LivelyCleric7.
(Also my Steam account if you are interested, as well as here.)

I play the THQ Retribution version. I see that since THQ has cut their technical support to the game some of us, the players have taken it into their hands to keep it up for them and the rest of us, great job there.

Now i don't know if i am posting in the right place here but i would like to know how i can get this Mod. where can i download it ?

I was very excited to learn of the mod and now i cant go back to THQ Retribution, i need the mod. please help me learn more. All information is welcomed.

Thank you in advance for your reply. :)

@livelycleric7
you can get it at the first page of this thread.
on the frontpage (dawnofwar.info) the codex page has a good amount of information. if that is not enough, then use dow.wikia.com in combination with the changelogs in elite.
finally, looks like you've already joined the elite community by joining this website. hf!

Welcome Cleric,

dont forget to join the steam group / steam chat. It really helps finding games quicker.

Also, from what I heard, from others, the Installer for the latest Beta ( 5 ) might be a bit porked.

Dont shy away to a ask, if you got installation problems.

LG heal armor still heals non-IG units, and still heals at the same rate when in and out of combat (supposed to be halved when in combat).
According to Cael this shouldn't work that way.

Sure, why would it be unfixable? Basic modifier tweaking stuff, sounds like.

I thought it was tweaked to heal allies and have a constant heal rate, which was lower. Is why I removed it from bug list.

I could be wrong on the whole thing, but what I am not wrong about is that it is still unbalanced like hell. The healing rate is insanely high and breaks games. A number of other high level players can confirm I think.

Make a balance thread about it then so we can all contribute! I know I don't like how it currently functions.

I wonder if anyone could help me. I just downloaded and installed version 6. I was on version 4 previously. I simply installed directly without going to version 5 first. Now I don't seem to be able to start the game at all and keep getting the bug report every time I try. Did I install anything incorrectly there?

Beta 6 should be all you need. Try verifying cache in Steam and reinstalling beta 6.

If it is working (mechanic-wise) as it should then yes, it is a balance issue. Not sure that is the case. We have to wait for Cael.

Thanks will try this. I'm thinking perhaps it is something to do with this new windows 8 update.

Yep that worked. It seems installing the new Windows 8 update removed direct X as it reinstalled it during the verify process. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the update Lulgrim, I'm still sorry about going off the handle with that comment back there, it won't happen again.

To everyone else; it was not meant as a direct insult, more as a provocative response to the Sentinel error, but it was not in good taste so as I've already said I am sorry for posting that.

I think that the Leman Russ Executioner's turret has too slow of a turning speed in beta 6 (unsure of previous versions).

Not sure if intended or not, but has a noticeably slower rotation speed than any other tank turret. Perhaps this got changed when the damage was tweaked?

I don't want to make a topic just for this so i'll post here.

GKs hellfury strike global or how they call it damage is absurd against everything, it needs to be toned down on the same level of the IG one.

Lolz, I actually just linked Bro-Cap to the IG global, I didn't even copy it... I may have changed it to copypasta to change the hotkey (or I was just planning so, not sure).

Im sure it's not, GM,termas etc can 'tank' the impact of the hellfure strike, or tacts in a building will be far from getting wiped, the GK one usually instatly removes like 20% hp of a fully upgraded GM squad in retreat, and will quickly kill a tact sitting in a building.

Yes, it doesn't do nearly as much damage, if I would bet, I would say it has some issues with retreat damage, too many times I retreated and high model count squad trought it and it died.

This never happens with the inq global.
