Does it have to be used upon making an account? Because i cannot find how to refer with my current account.
The internal battery has run dry, the game can now be played. However, clock based events will no longer occur.

It's never a good sign when the head of the studio jumps ship before the game is released. Unless it's for personal reasons and such. I actually really was okay with the guy, he seemed really down to earth, and wanted to make something amazing.

Best of luck in his future endavours, and I hope his replacement does a good job. Scary times.

I wonder if this is a sign of the End Times. "And lo, as the Warmaster of the Arkhonan Crusade stepped down leaving the masses in confusion and the future of the Crusade in doubt. May the Emperor find a worthy replacement to prosecute the Crusade in the new Warmaster."

More info.

there was a reorganization at Behavior. They dropped the mobile and online divisions and condensed it into one studio. Thus a studio head was not needed. He was replaced by a guy named Nathan whom was the lead game designer at Divergence, EvE and other games.

Miguel said everything is cool but now well have to see how Nathan is. Judging from what my community manager told me over Skype it seems it shouldn't affect much. Nathan has the same philosophy and attitude toward how the game should pan out. Time will tell

This doesn't make any sense. Fire a guy and replace him with one other. They could have kept Caron as the new head of reorganized studios. There was no need to replace him at first place.

Howdy, here's a handy recap of what happened during the stream.

Classes


•New class shown, Devastators◦Devastators were shown using heavy bolters
◦Described as being somewhat support oriented due to the nature of their weapons holding down positions

•Apothecaries and Assaults are in the game (not shown), but the Apothecaries apparently broke the server, while Assaults have bugs
Weapons
•Heavy bolter◦For Devastator class
◦Inaccurate while moving
◦Aiming reticule became smaller after a couple seconds of standing still, encouraging players to become stationary and plant themselves in a spot rather than using a run and gun play style
◦Capable of suppressing targets by blurring their vision when rounds land near them
◦Both box fed (shown in stream) and belt fed heavy bolters will be present in the future

◦Not shown off, but will become deployable onto cover to increase recoil control and provide more accurate fire◾Thanks to @Korel for providing a link to this video, you can see the Devastator deploying their weapon in an early version of the game


•Lascannons◦Described as an anti-vehicle weapon

Map
•Maps will be continents, first continent is called Malcadia
•Size is approximately 16km x 16km
•Additional continents will be released post launch
•Continent is split into many territories (about 30 for each continent), each approximately 2km x 2km in size
•120+ unique locations, each one being its own unique map to fight on

•Overflow islands will probably be instanced
•Individual maps will feature a playable space, surrounded by a "kill zone" that will artificially limit you to the play area

•Future plans are to remove these limits in steps

•Territories consists of a few outposts that will be necessary to capture (at least 2 outposts necessary to capture if there are more) before taking the stronghold, which will then give ownership of that territory to your faction
•Outposts give your faction a benefit in that territory such as reduced costs for units or better vehicles
•Post launch, the world will open up more and more until the whole continent becomes open to play on without restrictions. For example, a territory consists of 3 outposts and one stronghold. At launch, each outposts plays as its own map, without the ability to move to the other outposts. The stronghold also plays as its own map. The next step is to group all of the outposts together into one large map (so you can freely move between outposts), and have the stronghold separate, with each of these maps holding about 100 players. Then, the entire territory will become one playable map with about 200 players (roughly 1/4 the size of a Planetside 2 continent). Lastly, several territories will be grouped together to form of one large map, hosting about 500 players. A group of territories is regarded as the size of a Planetside 2 continent. The world slowly gets opened up in stages, ending with the entire continent becoming open. All of this is tech and feedback pending.
Faction
•Leader of the Chaos Space Marines, Abaddon, The Despoiler (wiki)
•Voting for the new Chaos sub factions begins next Wednesday (May 20, 2015) and goes until June 10, 2015

•Choices for the new agnostic sub factions are:◦Crimson Slaughter (wiki) ◾Gameplay wise, they'd be focused on violence and insanity, chopping people to pieces, executions

◦Alpha Legion (wiki) ◾Gameplay wise, behind the back lines, try to be sneaky, avoid frontal assault

◦Red Corsairs (wiki) ◾Gameplay wise, hit and run, striking from another angle


•During the demo battle, Ultramarines and Dark Angels fought against the Black Legion and the Word Bearers
Visuals
•Suppression mechanic blurs a player's vision when hit with a weapon like the heavy bolter
•New visual effect when taking damage. Previously, taking damage showed a "shield/force field" visual. Now, sparks fly off, still a temporary visual effect
•Some buildings now have animations
