I'm pretty sure the Cyrus lines are from Retribution and not from the original DoW2 or Chaos Rising, nor are they DLC.

Nothing is illegal as long as you don't get caught

Not the best strategy I think ^^ Rather safe than sorry.

it's not even that. first, it may well be legal, i don't know the laws that govern it. obviously, publishers prefer if that doesn't happen because they're not getting money. the big thing though is that it is unlikely to be worth their time, if they even noticed.

The soldiers of the Steel Legions require gas masks and thick, synthetic trenchcoats to protect them from their now toxic homeworld's atmosphere and thus have a uniform which is a composite of many different elements. Parts of the uniform are drawn from the British Army's infantry uniform in World War I (the coats are modelled on the British 1914 Utility Tunic and the gas masks are of the 1916 Box-Respirator type) and the German Paratroops (Fallschirmjäger) of World War II (particularly the Steel Legion's helmet design). This is contrasted with Steel Legion weapons, which are all much more technologically advanced and more portable than standard Imperial designs -- for example, their las rifles are 1/2 the size of the comparable Cadian Pattern weapons, and have folding wire stocks.
Source:
http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Arma ... eel_LegionAnd as for the coats. My friend collects Steel LEgion as his main army in the tabe top and lorewise he is a genious so I paid em a visit and asked him about the coat styles. Notably Steel Legion and Death Korps of Krieg use same style in with their coats regardless their length. Most notably Steel Legion uses as long coats as Death Korps when one goes into more hazardous environment than what is common in Armageddon. However this is rare due Steel Legion mostly fights in Armageddon system.

When it comes to Coats I think I agree with the idea of looking into the DKoK Mod units for some "guidance"

Well, I would strongly argue Steel Legion coats are inspired by
WWII german fallschirmjäger coats, not by WWI british ones, but thats not really the point of the discussion.
Yeah, SLegion officers wear uniforms much closer to Krieg's in a way that you could just use a recolour, but for the regular SLGuardsman it just doesnt cut it.
Krieg wears actualy
Trenchcoats. Like in Trench Warfare. Krieg just looks far too low tech for SL imho.

A trivial matter indeed to craft into DLC from a scratch...

Ok so just downloaded both the Chosen Plaguemarine and Plague Knife.
Orkfaeller with the eyes could you set them to always be that shade of dark green? Like in the original picture you posted? Because now they just match the "extra" teamcolour and I'm not sure it looks as good.
Also the Plague Knife is pretty huge, reckon I should scale it down a little bit?
This is what we've got currently.

This is why I main Plague Champion. I think 2.3 should just be called Chaos patch. This model is beautiful, but for a knife, it is a little on the longsword side of things.

Not yet, it will be released as a pack for modders reasonably soon. Plus hopefully included in a future release of the mod.

Nothing urgent at all, just a thing for the future.
When I went through the animations I noticed some clipping happening.
The chin pokes just a bit through the neckpiece. It really isnt by much, but its noticeable.
Do you think thats something fixable? Its just a few ingame-centimeters.
Do you think its possible to make the chin stand out a bit less?
Like I said, nothing thatneed urgent fixing or anything, just something that I noticed.

Once your fully happy with the model and textures I should easily be able to move his chin back a tiny bit to avoid this.
Would you be able to retex the chosen plague marine eyes btw?

Sorry didnt catch that post of yours.

That image?

Because now they just match the "extra" teamcolour and I'm not sure it looks as good
match as in "just happned to have the same colour" or match as in "the eyes are tied to the 4th colour slot"?

This better, or do you want them even darker?
Edit: also, the Berserker metal work, do you want it more golden or more brass looking?

That's great thanks. Try for somewhere inbetween, not exactly brass but not as golden as the Rhubric Marines would be - I'll leave it to your discretion really. You normally manage to find pretty cool examples to base the work on.

Rarely can a sane person can use the words Nurgle, Plague and Pretty in the same sentence. This is one of them

That's a really good look indeed. The knife looks absolutely nasty, it would be horrible to be wounded with a weapon like that, it's great!.

I don't know where else to ask this question, so I figured I would post it here since the people that frequent this topic would probably know.
Is there a way I can replace the chaos lord's model in multiplayer with Eliphas?

Well, should be a simple head swap.
Should be relativly easy.
Guess someone could look into it.

He is Eliphas. He is just wearing the same armour as Araghast.

I was trying to use your Heresy mini mod. It will launch but the bodies of all the units affected by your mod turn into black outlines. no textures whatsoever. but the Assault marine jump pack. which looks Beast. the models work in Army painter not inna match. i have no other mods running right now either.

Do you play on lower graphics?
Propably a case of missing mip-maps on the textures.
I could fix it, but it might take a while.

Aye. I dont have the best computer at the moment. So i am stuck with playing on the lowest settings.

Alot of modders / texture creators forget to generate mipmaps for people that play on lower res textures.
Im a bit too busy right now, but I'll try to add the missing mipmaps when I find the time.
