Thats pretty much what I have in mind too =) Tho, IG got the first already

Only difference that I'd chose the Chaos Lord + Lord Commissar over the sorcerer/general

For eldar, some might argue a Warlock, but Farseer is THE iconic figure in the race in my humble opinion xD And I agree on the Swarm Lord :3 Its just a much epic scaled Hive Tyrant tbh xD

Agreed, looks as sweet as ever. The commissar is so pretty. The chaos sorceror/lord general are more iconic than the chaos lord/lord commies though Riku? Are you sure 0.o?

Well I'll elaborate my reasons on those then ^^

The Lord General seems the right choice to me since he has the official higher rank and as a result is more rare in an IG regiment. Commissars are found everywhere in an IG regiment. They are even mere squad leaders in the game ^^ Although they can assume full command when they see fit, they have to give command back to the officers at the end of a battle. Commissars are mainly there to keep any soldier, no matter the rank they posses, from failing its duties to the Emperor and the Imperium by any means they see fit, usually execution as to set an example for the others ^^
I completely understand if those exact same reasons make a Commisar the way to go though :p

As for the Chaos Sorcerer. He already has this great link with the warp since he's a psycher and a real "witch". Just seems more fitting and interesting for Chaos to me.

Anyway when GK portraits are done, could you finish other factions ?
Eldar needs dark reapers and fire dragons, orks - flash gitz, tyranid - malan`tai and chaos - chaos terminator.
Beside this i think new icons for dire avenger aspect, bansee 2 aspects, chaos termies call-in, gk purgators ability (little blueish flames) will be welcome.
Your work is awesome. Elite mod would not have been as good as it is without you.

If it was any old commissar I would agree, but this is not, this is a commissar lord and they're basically the same as the lord general - second in charge in the hierachy, but unlike the general's they're absolutely badass, not old men. I think they warrant some idolising more than the general personally

(also note lord general is not lord general militant which itself is a higher rank)

And chaos lord's can be psykers too, while also kicking much more ass in melee combat, they also look better too imo, despite sorcerer's perhaps being more interesting, you probably can't deny that overall chaos lords are more iconic than the sorcerers.

a chaos lord is really just the leader of a chaos warband. same issue that dow2 has with the force commander really. by that i mean that they can came in a wide variety of forms.

Given the conversation on here a good while ago thought I'd come up with a helmet for the Inquisitorial Stormtrooper loosely based on Kilgarn's artwork...

I'm not sure what the resolution on those is but at least 1900 wide, maybe 2000+.

fyi i play the game at 2560x1440. the current game gets a little screwy above 1920x1080 though. i don't remember what is is but there's a resolution higher than mine; it's like 2560x1600 or something.

Here you go guys, all possible aspect ratio thats commonly used ^^ I havent used resolutions below 800x600 and above 2560x1600 =) If I did miss a common resolution that you guys need, let me know and I'll do it ^^

4:3 aspect ratio:
800x600 1024x768 1152x864 1400x1050 1600x1200 2048x1536
3:2 aspect ratio:
1152x768 1280x854 1440x960
5:4 aspect ratio:
1280x1024
16:9 aspect ratio:
1366x768 1600x900
16:10 aspect ratio:
1280x800 1440x900 1600x1024 1680x1050 1920x1200 2560x1600

i'd suggest you just make them at 2560x1440, what ever the 19:10 equivalent is, and call it good. people can resize it themselves or have windows do it and it saves you a lot of hassle. as long as the object in the center fits within 4:5 and 3:4 the outer edges don't matter much. heck, you could just do something that fits at 19:10 and leave it at that.

Hm didnt know that actually

Need to look up that 19:10 ratio then ^^ It will save a lot of hassle for me too if I can just use that alone to cover all the bases
