yeah, well, that was my first draft. Proportions a bit off.
She really isnt very massive though, the gloves and the flak armour on the old screenshot are actualy quite sized down from an actual guardsman.

I could have a go at resizing some of the body parts if you like?
How far along are you with the various marked marines retextures?
I'm going to take look at that plagueknife tomorrow and get the Chosen Plague marine all packed up this week if I can seeming as the next release must be getting closer.

Didn't want to ask before getting your Berserkers/Rubrics finished, but I'm totally going to need your help with this. Especially with the Flak Jacket. ( the one in the screenshot is just photoshoped in )

My work on the helmet is done.
Going to upload them tomorrow.
Would have allready done so if I hadnt completely forgotten.

Cant wait till I get everything else finished, so I can start working on the Mordian and Catachan Packs.
Projects for the grim darkness of the far future.
Edit: Also I deleted the textures for the Scout cloak with th
e camo pattern by accident.
Does anyone know if it came as part of the mod or if its it in the main game?

Quite looking forward to seeing what can be done for Mordians and Steel Legion now, that commissar/general (I can't tell which) looks sweet. But yeah I'm trying to finish off current projects before starting anything new.

Those Mordian and Catachan generals look great. I do hope they can be included when they are ready.
As for the Catachan one, and following the "one hand grip" stance of the normal Guard General and his bionic arm, I'll make a slight suggestion based on one of the boardgame models:

Yup, definatly something I've been thinking about.
But I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to get it to work.
IG textures are very limited of what you can do with them.
Relic really did IG textures on the cheap when you compare them to the other races'

You can try using the normal IG General's bionic arm, changing the shoulderpad colour to make it metallic and fit the rest of the arm.

The problem is, the Catachans ( and most other Guardsmen ) only have half a texture, that mirrored for both sides.
Everything I change on one arm, is going to affect the other one too.
I could retexture his arm to look bionic, but it would result in two mechanical arms.
But anyway, the Catachan General doesnt stand all that high on my to do list right now.
Maybe I find a way around.

Oh I understand. Well your Catachan General looks great enough already. But in that case, how did they do the normal General bionic arm?

Looks to be some sort of "glove". A little disguise so people would not see how lazy they were. Well done lads, well done.

once i get around to figuring out how skin works with dow2 i can do it. it should literally take like 15 minutes once i know what i'm doing. need to at least get my griffon appearing in the model editor though first.

As far as applying skin and assigning existing bones go I think I might be of some help. I don't know how to make new stuff unfortunatelly and have only a general idea of animating.

Pretty much like me then, but sometimes an idea can be a good contribution too. Or at least that's what I keep convincing myself about.

Maybe it's possible to implement as a visual "level upgrade", to separate it from the limitations of the basic model ?

Oh it will be definatly possible. But it will require help from a helpful 3D-kind of person, and we got a couple of those around.
But I'm not going to ask anyone to do that kind of stuff until I got my own current workload finished.
Still got to finish Sterling's Cultmarines and Acolytes first.

I for one am happy about any piece of feedback or idea tossing I get.

i think part of the problem may be that i'm working with a vehicle and they have more parts than infantry. i'm going to look at the unedited manticore first and see if i can get it to work. i've got the bones assigned and weighted but it's still not showing up so i think either i didn't understand relic's rig and weighted them to the wrong thing or i'm missing important helpers.

Have you tried 'Reset XForm'? I don't know why but I've often, not everytime though, run into a problem where I couldn't see anything in game. Applying this on the mash before the skin modifier fixed it.

Nice job on that Catachan general, much better than the one I made, just a shame theres not more options for cetacean heads.
Is it all animating properly? If so I might rework my Catachan pack and add him in.

Nah, its really just a Catachan Sergeant with a Scout Cape for the most part.
Oh, and a Shoulder pad to cover up his dislocated shoulder. Catachan Models and the Lord General's skelleton really were not made for each other.

If you're concerned about clipping, I think this is as bad as it gets.
During wide melee swings his arm clipps through the cape. Maybe I have to cut away a piece of it, but not sure if its worht it. Otherwhise there are suprisingly few problems. Its really just this I believe.
Also, wouldnt mind pulling our Catachan rescources together.

___
Also a replacement of the Inquisitor's Inferno Pistol:
a "loyal" Melta Pistol based on the MoK Chaos Marine one.
Fits the Catachan look better.
Maybe someone can come up with an idea for the Holy Brazier too.
[ I wonder how a Servo Skull with a Berett would look like ^^ ]

weight the cape to his arm bones. or do you not have max? i forget. i can give it a shot if you don't.

Is it possible to change the orientation of the things?
I mean, the cape covers the Catachan General's right shoulder, but his left arm barely moves (just holds the ranged weapon). Is it possible to mirror the cape from one side to the other so that its his left shoulder that's covered with the cape?. That arm barely moves and it could even cover that "dislocated shoulder" without the need of a shoulderpad.

Both good solutions I guess, but I cant do neither.
I got Max but I think thats still out of my league I think.
Anyone else would propably have to volunteer to do that.
Edit:

I would consider removing the cape untill you can get a viable solution. I think the Catachan General can look good enough without it, with his pectoral carapace and a couple of shoulderblades he will look different enough from normal catachans.
On the other side, ¿would the Space Marine Force Commander's cape be a viable alternative?. It just hangs straight down without messing with shoulders.
As for the Lasguns, i think the short barrelled carbine-style version is more adequate for junge troops like Catachans

Maybe you can use the invisible texture on the cape and cut away the part that clip.
