I havent played for a while although the Centurions appear to be down-graded obliterators at lower points costs and without invul saves. They could replace a heavy weapons team which cant move and shoot properly.

Typically they would be used similarly to obliterators which are (or used to be) used in Chaos lists and at about 2 to every rhino.

Wouldnt bother with las cannons, too pricy, just stick to missile launchers.

You could make up for the lack of invulnerability by running them behind Rhinos for a 4+ cover save.

If your list is moving and shooting take them with rhinos, if your defending then standard devastators probably better.

It's a 5+ cover save. Unless you agree with your opponent before the game that vehicles give you a 4+ cover safe.

Also the Rhino won't last long at all :p
And you are pumping even more points in to them trying to make them worthwhile.
I still don't see any reason why to field these guys.

I could see them being fielded all with grav-cannons.
That's 260points though for 3 non-scoring models.
It would be a welcome sight for me to see these guys fielded against me tbh :p

I agree with Riku. Even with Grav-cannons they still need to be close to fire and 24" usualy means danger for a unit that can't do anything in melee. They could counter the new monstrous creatures with the Grav things, but a smart opponet will not just go lololol with his big guys. And since they can' take a transport, you have to walk them in range and they will get focussed down. You can't retreat in tabletop :P.

Also, even if you find cover, there are about 100 things that ignore it (Flamers, Tau, Eldar op serpent shields...)

280 points for 3 guys isnt great. The last time I looked you can get 2 squads of long fangs with 10 missile launchers for 280 points with Space Wolves.

I remember when Space Wolves first came out with their great Codex.
Tony Kopach has won consistently at the top tournaments (Nova best in the world 2011-2012) and others. All with his Space Wolves list. But he takes a unit other people wouldn’t dream of using.
People are like, 245 points one a single guy?
But Tony Loves Njal. Infact he said something in a video like, he only plays the list because of the Storm caller.
