Yes, you can waypoint your hero but as this isn't Starcraft where you produce a ton of units so I don't like doing it. Too easy to get artillery or something vulnerable too far up front.

If I remember correctly you can not.

Approach ranged with ranged and melee with melee.

Heavy armour or just moving them to cover will help protect your ranged units as they take first shots. Melee units can move in as ranged units take fire and will get less shots on the way in.

With melee units first you get extra sight for your ranged units behind so they can shoot more.

Just a simple thing I do that I've noticed some people don't.

Cap order: Casts are terrible at teaching this. Casters will spin the camera looking at skins instead of explaining the cap opening like they should.
