Honestly I enjoy rudeness, it gets straight to the point. I often debate things and rudeness if the best thing in the world because it often means no rhetoric or beating around the bush, we just get an answer! Anyway, Sub-Zero I'm unsure of your point. Firstly such comments shouldn't really be removed because they did add to the discussion (They shouldn't even really be edited because the diction one chooses is clearly intentional), namely in this case that you need to stop constantly ignoring the fact that wargears are not cross-race comparable or even cross-hero comparable even if they they are the same tier and price. The game is more complex than that.

I talk to people like Milty just did in real life but I never end up with a broken nose, is that a Russian thing?

And much wowz, you just came to the realisation that not every single European has the same beliefs? That's revolutionary!

Clearly you've been avoiding most of the internet. :?

Anyways, on a more serious note,
Sub_Zero wrote:By the way, go ahead and post a message in the Tex's thread. Come on, call him a noob when he claims that some wargear underperforms.

The reason people don't do this (although they do question the validity of his concerns sometimes) is that he provides replays and looks through all the options of a wargear rather than just comparing them with numbers and a straight fight.

As Milty said, there are uses for the mines if you utilize them well and think ahead; the same is true of many wargears.

As much as I like numbers, they only get you so far, and in DoW2 they should be used to support an argument, not be the argument. And even then, you have to support the argument in the correct way.

That Torpid Gamer wrote:namely in this case that you need to stop constantly ignoring the fact that wargears are not cross-race comparable or even cross-hero comparable even if they they are the same tier and price. The game is more complex than that.

I think you need to temper your expectations. This community tends to value the opinions of a skilled 1v1 player with a reputation for evenhandedness i.e. plays most factions and heroes, and is impartial when calling for buffs/nerfs. If you don't have those qualities, then the best you can hope for is to sway some of those players. Even then, that doesn't mean anything unless Caeltos agrees.

If you don't have 1v1 skillz and a rep for evenhandedness, and you keep pushing like you are doing, then you are going to receive pushback. People are going to assume that you are an [insert faction] fanboy or lack the skills to use the wargear properly. That's just how it is. People want to know that the wargear was tested in game (preferably 1v1) to its maximum capability before buffing or nerfing it. It has nothing to do with Europeans being a bunch of hypocrites with a bad case of teh gay (seriously WTF).

And what Uncle Milty wrote wasn't even particularly harsh.

Nothing he said was certainly even close to being as "harsh" as calling being gay "weird stuff"..

Despite being a newb I think the Artificer Amor for the TM is ok. There's nothing really wrong with it. The extra hp + regen is nice and the problems I have with the mines have more to do with the way the mines work and not really about the wargear.

If anything, maybe making the planting go a little faster like mentioned earlier, but otherwise I don't really see a need for a buff.

Honestly. I think a good way to use them is during combat. They take only about 1 or 2 seconds to arm (i think). And have some sort of melee squad come over to melee your tacs. But instead they get damaged by it. I dont think mines are that much of a usefull ability once that detector comes out. And pretty useless. But, I forget who< someone said they are good during late game. I might just test that out and continue with my opinion.

Also, in my MOD i changed the Camouflage FX, from SM mine, to the same FX on Demo Charges when cloaked. Their is a big change in viability. Might be something to look at.

Is anyone still interested in sharing opinions about the matter? And for those who think that I propose changes without playing and using the stuff I suggest to change you are sadly mistaken. Before creating a thread about any problem I play a lot using this thing and only then I propose changes. It is not like I wake up and an idea popping up in my head... My position hasn't been changed, I still think the wargear needs something else to compensate its unreliability.
