Getting back on topic, I understand that with the upcoming (or an upcoming) patch Plague of Undeath is going to be replaced. Even though we're getting Chosen PM's, the ability still will be in the game as an effect of the plague sword. I was wondering if the same can be done for Loyal to the End so it's not completely gone when it's replaced with the really expendable guardsmen global Caeltos was tinkering with (obviously toned down a lot since it used to be a global that used red resource) maybe attached to his Xenos power klaw or Stubborness. In any case, if that does happen these could be used for using the ability. Or if it doesn't, these are some really nice quotes he has.

Speaking of the Xenos Power Claw -
when the LC equips it right now he says something like
"Not as striking as Yarrick's claw, but it will suffice."
which doesnt make a whole lot of sense anymore imho, since it now basically is Yarrick's Claw.
Maybe that line could be used for the fist of Brockus or so, and the Claw could get a new line?

It does kinda make sense if you imagine him comparing it to Yarricks claw because that thing is beastly.

I can't get the music player to work, keeps erroring me on javaw something. But the file names seems pretty straight forward with the details on when they're being said if you ask me.
And I would figure that makes it alot easier to know when they can be implemented and under what circumstances.

I didn't have to do it on my PC but I saw in a small tutorial video there is one other program you probably have to open. It should be right above the .exe and it opens a DOS prompt. I'm not at my pc right now so I forgot which it is.
And some file names are self explanatory, like att is when you order an attack and spu would be a unit spotted, but ones like tgd which is when you completely wipe an enemy squad I can't figure out what it stands for. total something death I'm guessing.

Just brainstorming here for some ork stuff:
Maybe when using the Boomshot from the looted tank:
"Load da kann... DON'T DROP DA SHELL!"
Some Flash Gitz quotes (nob voice-ish):
When spawning at the tellyporta platform:
"Even our bulletz 're fancy"
When attacking other ranged units:
"hehheh, Dose boyz fink dey gots betta gunzOOOW ... dat 'urts!"
"Waaaaargh! DAKKADAKKADAKKADAKKA"
"Oooeeeh dat gun looks fancy"
When being attacked by melee:
(shouting slightly terrified) "Oi! Don't touch my gun!"

Please read the OP. We're not taking "ideas and self-made propositions". We literally need these specific lines to be in the game.

Sorry for double post but this is just to let y'all know. In retribution they kept the voices from Dawn of War 2 Chaos Rising. An example would the the Force Commander's voice in pvp. He is all like "We should capture those resources." , "I WILL NOT FALL!" or "I AM TAKING FIRE!" along with other quotes of course. If you want take a peek at them let me know. I got the codes. Or you can open dow 2 (not ret,) instead and find it all there plus some.
Also, I think its possible for chapter specific voices. My reasoning is the Ork Warboss voices being different in DLC and non DLC. And the speech tab in Sbps\ui. Might be something to look into?
Edit: Except for Avitus' and Thaddeus' voices.

A little bump... Am I correct in thinking that you are not familiar with how converting sound files into DoW2 voice files works? Because if that is not the case, why not just use Soulstorm lines for certain units? I mean that expansion by far has the largest variety of races and units...

I think they said that red tape keeps this from being possible. Can't even use stuff from Vanilla DoW2 or CR due to this.

Would it be too much asking if these new voice lines were optional? a separated patch for example.
Some of the non-english speakers would thank if we weren't forced to abbandon our language's lines, even if they are duplicated from the original units.

Not only legal, but dow 1 and II voice acting is so massively different in dialogue, execution and sound quality. They sound so very different so mixing them would not sound too good.

This really depends on who holds the rights for VO's as intellectual property. If it's THQ, then I doubt there can be any issues...

Something that could be done is remove anything the dire avengers use that includes "guardian", and look for replacements.
I don't remember a lot on what the Dark Reapers and Fire Dragons say, do they need something new?

Are we getting any new lines in this coming 2.3.1 patch? Caeltos is planning on adding that one tiny little line for the new Mobile base upgrade for the Chimera. Anything else? A few posts above I suggested a few lines that appear to be either not in use or only in the campaign folders.

like these ideas especially new chaos ones as i could use some change from the same old stuff i think they would sound great especially He was weak. Maybe have him say something after like "chaos has no place for the weak" or I am strong.

I think it might be, but Caeltos is looking to dig up lines rather than add in a mish mash of new ones. And also talent doesn't always mean great mic, sound proofing and sampling, they might be good at it but sampling it would be dreadful.

We also don't really know how to add in new voice files yet, unless Myrdal's made any discoveries, so having voice acting alone wouldn't mean the voices could be added. And with the limited time we have, it probably won't be happening for at least the next couple patches.
