Hi people :3

I thought I'll make a little extra and I've done the Heavy Weapons Team too ^^
Quite enjoyed drawing guardsman for a change tbh

Since there is technically NO useful artwork at all for spotters, I thought I'll go with the slight camo look Similar as how sniper spotters look like ^^
The other two is quite self explaining I think XD

P.S.: I've used a Guardsman armor based on the female IG sergeant you can see in "Space Marine". I quite liked that look tbh + Thats the most up-to-date version of a higher rez look of the guardsman ^^

@fankater --- Yep, pretty much all of the IG infantry pics are terrible T_T And I'd like to give Stormtroopers a different look then that creepy X-COM heavy armor head rip-off XD
As for your other question: I wasn't able to work on those yet and as others voiced a solid idea, that eldar + SM already has a nice enough roster, I'll focus on IG first I havent forgot them tho I'll just do them after I'm done with the default IG portraits ^^ Which means........... Catachan Devils, Ogryns and Stormtroopers left if I'm not mistaken... ? ^^;

Really nice job (as usual), such a big improvement on the originals, really liking the spotters.

One thing I would say is the perhaps the Heavy Weapons Team guy could have a bit more of a grimace, currently with his eyes mostly shut he looks a little...peaceful.

Kind of a bad example but something like this guy....

Which means........... Catachan Devils, Ogryns and Stormtroopers left if I'm not mistaken... ?

I used Tarkus as the main idea for the portrait
I could make a yelling version, but I think it might look silly ^^; I'll leave the yelling faces to Tyranids But if more people request the change, I'll do it, its not that complicated to do after all It just seemed more fitting to use a bit stoic, hard guy, like Tarkus/Avitus ^^

Oh yeah it's not a massive issue, still looks damn good and can see the stoic vibe you mention.

I think karskin portraits are fine I don't think they really need a change.

They are the best of the bunch for sure - I'm sure Kilgarn could improve on it however

@Sub_Zero --- I haven't forgotten about those Fire Dragon, Dark Reaper and Terminator Force Commander + default Force Commander will all get their respective portraits, but I wanted to give a little love to the IG first, since their whole infantry roster looks miserable ^^; especially compared to Eldar and SM x) so, no worries, I'll get to work on those too I'm just swamped with commissions xD
So it will take time :/ But I really want to get spare time to draw for DoW2 ^^ I quite enjoy it :3

All your portraits keep distinct style, yet they fit perfectly into DoW/40K aesthetic and look awesome.

You're doing these all for free so here's a small incentive:

Ok... next to the ones I've made (especially the ridiculus Krieg Inquisitor pic... brrr...) there is a marginal difference ^^;

The IG commanders are fine. There are more pressing matters.

If you want the IG portraits and stuff, I'd prefer if you used them as a personal commission, as far as the mod goes - not interested in replacing them at the moment.

Either way: I think I'll do the rest of the IG infantry in a similar style, mainly Catachan Devils, Ogryn and Stormtroopers are in a dire need of a new portrait. Not sure if I should touch Kasrkin or leave them be.
When I'm done I'll finish the rest of the default portraits that you think needs a re-haul (like, Dark Reaper, Force commander - Terminator and Normal which just needs a helmet really XD, kommandos). If you have a specific idea what I should focus on after IG, let me know Caeltos =) I'll try to work on it as soon as I'm able to ^^

- Catachans
- Stormtrooper/Ogryn (equal)
- Force Commander/Terminator FC

aye all is well I just got myself a full-time job and need to adjust for the new time scedule I have x) I have less time to draw since I work 8-9h a day. Aftr that I'm usually dead tired ^^; but slowly I get the hang of it and hopefully be right back on track :3

I'd really want to draw the portraits ^^ I enjoy it quite much :3

Hah, I was actually going to say- I wouldn't be surprised if you got a full-time job by now. Congratulations on that, hope all goes well.
