The Terrax Guard is a bit of a not-so-well-known Guard Regiment featured in the 3rd Edition Codex, all GW ever did on them, beside a few lines of lore, is this simple piece of art-work and a kit-bash conversion; but they allways held a special place in my heart ( come on, an army of commissars, how bad ass is that? )

My Pack includes a Terrax Guard Guardsman, a Terrax Guard Veteran and a Terrax Guard Medic skin including an optional backpack
( missing from the screenshot )

I would have loved to refit a reskinned commissar hat on a GM head but sadly, I just dont have the time anymore to work them.
If nothing else, the regular commissar head should fit without real issues.

YES!

I love the Terrax Guards and it's a shame they aren't much known.

But if you want to do them, maybe it's better to use the Mordians as a base.

I was seriously thinking about basing them on my mordian skins instead - but decided against it for a couple of reasons.

identifiability - was afraid to make them too distinct looking from standard guardsmen to keep it easy enough to tell what is what ingame and not make them swallow commissar squad leaders -

messed up meshes - the leather coat was nooot intended to work with Guardsman animations at all. I'm suprised it worked out as well as it did in the end; but the shoulders do not look good at all beneath those shoulder pads, but they seem to cover it up perfectly.

So, while it should be pretty easy to put the coat on the mordian model, I'm afraid the shoulder pads have to stay.

I would prefer Elysians or Tallarn. I also prefer Garrick's Steel Legion :/

I dont know what kind of respond you'd expect from me on this.
This is what I decided to work on sofar and I got literally no involvement in any of the steel legion skinpacks.

Well, i guess it's ok.
Pretty sure they will look awesome either way for Terrax Guard is awesome by definitions.

Not as awesome as Scintillan Fuciliers, but still pretty awesome.

Can you try them with their standard colours? I'm curious.

The red borders are perfect (malachite red, right?), then brazen brass armor and chaos black clothes and coat.

I'm aware every other unit will probably look super-bad with a metallic colour as a primary, or super-pimp, but maybe brazen brass is am opaque enough colour.

Well I am sorry for offending you, but I didn't know who actually made these skins in the first place. Fine I shall retract that post if it was so terrible.

I didnt get offended; and I didnt mean to offend you. If I sounded harsh or anything, that was totally not intended.
Sorry if you though I lashed out or something-

A small overhaul of the Librarian's helmet -

the pack includes a replacement version you can just drop into your Data folder
- and a stand alone version for modders -for psychic hood upgrade, army rank unlocks, etc-

team colourable with all four SM army painter scemes.

Might have overdone it on the glow effects -

This looks beautiful. But what was it that made you decide to use a Codex issue Sergeant coloured helm rather than stick with the Librarian's blue? I like it more, I just didn't expect it.

Its team colourable now and tied to the first colour slot ( unless one is using the alternate patterns ofcourse ) - just wanted him to show a bit more player/army colours.

Just picked red for the screenshots as it stands in good contrast with the blue-ish glow.

Just as a small request: Would it possible for someone to create a two-handed IG sniper rifle that could be used by regular guardsmen? the current sniper can only be used by the general as one handed weapon.

Nah, too large and unwieldly for a simple guardsmen.

What about the Scout snipers? They are the same model on tabletop and they are the right size.

No good, looks ridiculously oversized:

I'm not experienced with animating but to me it seems that all that needs to be done is the that rifle be repositioned so that it be used with the range_energy animation template.

Oh, I don't think it looks so bad. Oversized yes, but there is a certain brutishness to a guardsman holding a sniper.

The model can be scaled

But that requires the model to be worked on in 3DsMax or something, and in that case you might aswell just adjust the actual IG Sniper Rifle, imho.

Does anyone remember the original red corsairs, back in 3rd edition? Before their redesign during 5th?

It was supposed to be a Chaos Sorcerer Skin.

Wow this is great. I remember these from 3rd edition too.

Getting a (finally) fixed PC back this week so could help out with a few model edits if you decide to do the rest of the army.

Was ment as part of a Chaos Space Marines Skin Pack.
"Renegade Space Marines" - traitors who just very recently turned to chaos.
And since they arent Horus Heresy Veterans they're still using their loyalist gear, just desecrated.
Something I started working on ages ago, but stopped when I ran into problems ( turns out loyalist Marines and CSMs dont quite have the same bones )

Congratz man.
You know me, I'm allways rather limited in what I can do; and my stuff is allways out there for others to use, so; appreciating any kind of help.
