yesterday i upgradet my tacs to sternguard with only 2 model scouts next to them
the scouts were reinforcing by the teleport after the upgrade.

Can we have this an actual feature of Ven / Sternguards? Reinforcing allies when teleporting in?

That would completely go against he principles of the game. Purchase a niche-upgrade in the middle of the fight so that you automatically win an engagement and then are left with a unit you didn't necessarily want?
If you were motivated to get them anyway then why does this buff have to be implemented, if you just wanted the combat boost then that is what the drop pod is for and that costs 200 red for a reason.
When you make choices in dawn of war the point is that they are meant to be final and you cannot be forgiving for doing so. This is why the prospect of recycling generators once they are fully built is terrible, or sacrificing units for that matter too. Dawn of War is a game highly investing itself in macro over micro, and that's actually a part of the RTT instead of the RTS, you can't win in DOW because you have the better strategy going into the game, or at least doing so is MUCH harder to do than it is in many other RTS' where a simple BO can dictate who wins the game, because the game is more forgiving to mistakes.

You can't instantly do it in the middle of a fight.
The reinforce aura happens when they first hit the field and only then.
You pay for the reinforcing.

They are not the same at all.

I assumed he meant for it to reinforce like a drop pod, i.e. for free. I know that they already let you reinforce when they come in, but I'm not exactly sure why that is, it seems a bit random.

So that's why I've been able to reinforce at seemingly random times...
Is it really intended? I mean, as a one shot effect you'll see once per game (if that), it's such a minor bonus that it's not even a balance concern. It just seems pretty dang random... What's the idea behind other squads reinforcing off what is essentially a call-in? AFAIK it doesn't happen when you call in spiders, kommandos, termies, etc... maybe it makes sense for the nid call-ins because they have that biomass thing going on.
Just curious about the logic behind it, really.

I've said this many times - it's a leftover from when SG/VG arrived by drop pod. The arrival was changed into teleport instead, but the same spawner entity remained.

could you change it a a terminator-style teleport-in?
That doesn't reinforce nearby units.

I'm not discussing whether or not this feature of the stern/van upgrade is intended or whether it is useful or overpowered.
I AM suggesting a possible way to fix it IF it is a glitch.

From the way you described it (i.e. "left over" from an earlier iteration) it sounds like it's not intended, but as far as not intended things go, it's more of a weird inconsistency on the "who gives a shit" side of the spectrum

Being able to reinforce from Sternguard/Vanguard "transformations" are not intended. It doesn't make any sense, and was never intended.
The squad going from 1/4 to 4/4 members from the purchase is fine for now however.

Yes we kinda just forgot it like that, as the reinforcement thing didn't come up immediately. Of course the reinforce field can be easily removed.

Sorc global Warp still often bugs with crushers, it also seems it's not working on upgrading chaos vehicles. (Or atleast it didn't work on a dread that was getting the Tzeentch mark).

Just a reminder, the Inquisitorial Storm Troopers are still missing their Voice Overs subsequently making them difficult to micro if you don't have them in your field of view constantly.
Giving them back the Storm Trooper voices so you actually have a chance to respond if they're under attack outside of your field of view, would be a nice fix.

Any idea why my Alpha Legion [ELITE] Noise Marines get this super shiny leg?
It looks fine in the armypainter, but ingame it seems broken. Is the texture missing ?Or are the bump maps screwed up? It looks very reflective in the painter, but it doesnt radiate like this.

Have a replay vs Codex where shees literally fleeted through stun bomb and kept retreat killing shit. Yes they were hit and the red stun indicator appeared on them, but they didn't care. Codex also noticed what had happened --> this isn't just me raging.
No idea what caused it, never happened to me before.
ps. I haven't read patch notes so in case this is just another eldar buff and not a bug, feel free to slap me.
