I dont see what would be bad with this idea. though id make them a t2 call in with a t3 upgrade that gives atleast 1 member heavy melee for minor av. could just use the plague fist model and call it a day. but id def want them to have something to translate over to t3. Comissar squad could be a power melee squad with less speed then the comi lord and 4 models with bl hp, that be cool fluff addition and something to spice him up by changing loyal to the end. i love lc but that global has been terrible since retail. a unique call in would be a nice idea

They should have something else going for them though, otherwise it's just an Ogryn-with-different-stats call-in.

Edit: sorry, misread "power melee".

I wonder if alternative source of blamming is the answer to what exactly they are supposed to be (not sure if it's fluffy at all, so yeah). Then again, there was a suggestion to make LC's own blamming more useful, and I'd rather stick with that.

I like the Plague of Undeath but as stated it is hard to use. If i know i am about to kill a ASM member or A Banshee for example proc it at that moment and getting even a single ASM can make a difference if you can Micro said zombie to do a jump. I have done this in the past and met with success as you get all the standard abilities of the units you have killed something which i enjoy.

On the flip side its 200 Red it stinks and its very random. Generally against good players who wont be losing many members anyway you are at a disadvantage.

A call in is an interesting idea tho your wording i could hardly understand what you intended at 1st.

I have an idea well a few actually.

1. Plague Marines Melee orientated as you have suggested but instead of just appearing on the feild of battle by magic how about a corrupted Nurgle Drop pod for them to come out of similar to the SM one but without the Instant reinforce.

Balance wise im not sure if reinforcing at all would be a good idea but a drop pid that lands looking all Nurgle like that disgorges 3 Marines with a possible Champion upgrade seems really cool to me. The Drop Pod could impact like the SM one knocking over forces and have a built in Bolter further enhancing the Defense capabilities of the PC.

2. Plague Bearers. Summoned onto the Field permanent unit.

Ability like Cloud of flies reducing incoming damage from range. As aura of decay slowly sapping health from enemy units.
