Who, at which point, said "retreatable", "with speed, size and HP unchanged" and other things you guys decided to assume in order to avoid discussing something that would make sense and to mock a guy instead for something that obviously wasn's finalized suggestion?

Nope, it's better to waste like 2 weeks trashtalking than discussing an idea of milti-entity walker for IG.

I mean, yes, nobody suggested otherwise either, but that's what discussions are for, not to harp about herp derp bad ideas over and over again.

It's just awful. There's so many problems. Bleeding walkers, impossible to snare something with vehicle armour? Affected by abilities/globals? Repair? Fluff???? (why the fuck are ogryns invincible all of a sudden when they're just walking meatbags) and also their SHI is there for a reason, it absorbs all that piercing damage that owns IG normally.

IG were designed to lack a walker and they don't need one. Ogryns are not walkers, stop trying to use them like such and you might find they kick ass.

He actually said "Ogryns stay exactly the same but be given vehicle armour", so no I don't think we were harsh in assuming they'd... otherwise stay the same in his idea. It may have been a flippant suggestion but even those can get commented on, he shouldn't have posted it otherwise. It didn't really come across as a straight-up joke.

It does seem strange to toss something like that out, so why would anyone take it seriously? I think Bullgryns would be very useful as the Ogryns just seem to get crushed in T3 by things, and I know they are a T2 squad so it should be expected, but sometimes it seems something like Banshees scale better than Ogryns.

Disclaimer: this post is not meant to be seriously pushing for some vechicle ogryns because its author personally likes walking cover/meatshield/whatever upgrade concept better.

Yes, but we can at least try to probe for ideas. After all, we can't be sure what IG will need one day when everyone else get half a hundred of new units/aspects/heroes/items. Impossible? Well, considering that it doesn't seem like anyone cares about making DoW3, who knows what we'll end up with.

Don't forget supression/KB, size, ability to charge and to retreat, and more factors that can be used to tune the unit.

To think of it, I can't really imagine repairs working on multi-entity. Also before we're discussing balance issues, how many of abilities determine their targets by armour type?

'Cuz I dunno, equip them with tank armour? :P It's not like your average SM ain't got nothing on average ogryn in terms of raw physique.
But honestly, nobody cares that TFC is as soft as normal SM (unlike normal termies) while ogryn's skin covered with tissue paper is as resilens as finest TDA, so why would anyone care about this particular weirdness?
Even for someone who gives a crap about fluff in DoW it's nothing like a major issue.

But seriously, again, I don't think that it's even "fun" direction to go at this point...
