Recently I meantioned that I've been working on a new model for the DRs. The model is already done but there is still some work to do on the textures. However, I did manage to complete the head for the exarch and I wanted to export it so I could see it in the game. The problem is that the export would fail everytime. The message is this:
18:36:02:124: [INFO] Exporting 'art\artrace_eldar\troops_wargear\heads\warp_spider_exarch_head_common\dark_reaper_exarch_head_common'
18:36:02:125: [INFO] Writing file header
18:36:02:127: [INFO] Writing root chunk header
18:36:02:129: [ERROR] Material in slot 1 is not multi material!
18:36:02:131: [INFO] Export failed.
I wasn't able to find any solution on the internet. And completely removing the material from the object (the head) didn't help. If you need to see the model I could send it to you in a private message.

Re: Exporting into .model
I did and the funny thing is that I now managed to prevent all errors form occuring but the end result is again a failure. Maybe the problem is that the textures have to have the same name as ones of the model they're based on. I'll try playing with it a bit to see what happens.
Re: Exporting into .model
So I solved the problem. Though it may have been obvious I didn't think it could be the source of the problem.
When exporting it is neccessarry to use all the texture slots that are being used by the original model. Otherwise the export will keep on failing without giving any error message.
This presents a problem when you're testing your creation in the game but is easily prevented by just keeping the originals. Though messy, it is simplier than to bake all the textures to check just one.
