Uh what? Does not look like official WH40k art. What book has an Astartes get married...?

Now, I'm not an expert - maybe Astartes were slightly less bound to their duty pre-heresy and could have abit more flexibility? I honestly don't got a clue.

Its from "The first heretic", Crimson Lord Argel Tal and Cyrene Valantion as I recall.
Forbidden love is always most delicious indeed...
I might have been unclear in regards of the origin of the picture. It is not official art but made by freelance illustrator, who captured the scene in his/her art.

Do not forget that Gabriel Angelos himself also had a family, wife and a son, who died on Cyrene by his orders to execute exterminatus. Astartes are allowed to have families and they also have their own personal lives but they are limited indeed. Thus rarely witnessed. Ultramarines are known to have families of their own before and even after they were conscripted into becoming Astartes. Furthermore, Ultramarines are more in contact with normal citizens of Imperium than their other brother chapters but this mostly only adds up to Ultramar and its nearby worlds.
And this is by only by gathering data but I have concluded that the Salamanders would be keeping in touch with their "blood family" considering if they aren't on a mission or have active orders they chill on Nocturne with the people.

Hello everyone it's me writing to you from lovely Italy,
anyways, I've just finished reading "The first Heretic" and no Argel Tal and Cyrene are not Husband and Wife.
She is more like a confessor for Argel Tals troubled mind.
And where did you get the idea that Gabriel Angelos had a wife and son?

Then it was my mistake as I finished the book with that impression, however if you played the original first Dawn Of War it was said there there. That Gabriel indeed had a family.

They aren't married, in Betrayer he also wishes for Cyrene to be brought back from the dead. Erebus sees to that though. Stupid Erebus.

Isador Akios is referring to Gabriel Angelos parents.

You realise that parents and brothers/sisters are part of one's family too right ? Nowhere there is mention of space marines having kids post transformation.

Are you in vacation in Italy? Maybe Lignano or Bibbione?

I love these recent ones. The Nurgle ones have such great detail put into them
The nurgle slide is adorable. A little disgusting, but still adorable.
Mortarion pictures are probably my favourite to date. I love the detail and some of the creativity that's been shown with how the warp has mutated them.
