How to set up games in elite mod?

Hi,
I am a newbie here and I was wondering how to find and/or set up games here. Is there a group in steam or some other methodology.

You must be one of the few who finds the mod first without the group.

These two groups are useful:http://steamcommunity.com/groups/DoW2EliteMod This is the main group, join chat and advertise your games, you will find helpful people there.

The second group is Ryan's spin off beginners group, it is a good place to organise games and find people people at beginner level: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/DoW2_Elite_Beginners

I am also going to be organising Beginners Tournament #5 very soon, 2v2 edition, perhaps you might want to hop in?

Yah what Swift said is very advisable, you can learn a few tricks from the more experienced gamers in the community, and also have a constant group of friends to play with (Plus the tournaments the community host can be very entertaining).

Another suggestion I can give you is try finding [EL] clan members. They're always practicing in Elite, and hosting 3v3's along with other community related activities. Im sure one or two of them would be happy to train you if you ask . Either way the best advice I can give you is to just get used to having your butt handed to you a few times, and stay WITH the game. ts not something you can just pick up. Trust me we were all in your shoes, and newbs ourselves. The links are at the bottom for the [EL] Clan Casting, and Streaming group, along with my steam name look me up man!!

Thank you guys for your help. Will start playing some game. Right now looking at the VODs. I downloaded a few replays but unlike the retail version they are not automatically loaded in my game history. How do I see the replays in elite?

That can be because a couple of things:

You might have put them in the wrong place? (C:\Users\Riku\Documents\my games\dawn of war ii - retribution\playback)
But since you have downloaded retail replays just fine before, that probably isn't the case?

They could be from another version of Elite Mod. Just like retail, different patches don't work with each other.

Something could have gone wrong with your download. Check if the files are big enough.
If something went wrong they will usually show as 0 kB.
