LC + 3GM opening

Hi all,
How viable is the LC + 3GM open? I tried it in a 1v1 versus Nurland and it seemed to work alright(as in, I wasn't trapped in my base) until I realized at the 10 minute mark that I was floating 800 req because I forgot to put down gen farm.

Not an LC player, but I'd imagine it's kickass.
I'd get carapace armor asap and kill my own men to victory

There's some potential but they get countered hard by setup teams and it might backfire on you in T2 when some pretty heavy counters come out (dreads, vehicles, pdevs, WG, etc). You can usually get by however if used in a team game, but not sure how effective it is not to have a sentinel in 1v1.

3gm with lc works well as long as you're aware of what your opponent is doing and don't get caught out of position by the counters like set up teams or jump troops.
Also when I say 3gm I OBVIOUSLY!!!111oneleven mean 3gm + 1sent, there is no 1v1 ig bo without sent.

I thought the execute with carapace armor breaks suppression and gives suppression immunity for 15 secs?

i like triple GM build with LG as well. he's gotta wait until t2 for the good stuff but the comissar + flak jacket + melta gun buff can do some serious damage

There is absolutely no advantage to not getting a sentinel in T1, in a 1v1 as any IG hero vs any race.

Ive done a lot of 3 gm with LG in 2s and 3s and it works quite nicely. Obviously micro plays heavily into it but his armors counter everything and all you need is catas for anti melee. Followed with a nice med bunker and t2 turret and gg

Shouldn't really get if you support the build properly with for example a hwt and avoid being suppressed vy melee tics/havoc

I imagine the NM/blight grenade combo would work well though alongside 2 csm and GL tics.

I'm not very good so there are definitely things I could have done better, but this PC I went up vs. was decimating me with blight nades simply because of how much space my GMs took up and the tightness of the map. The blight transfered even after I tried to retreat out because the guys were still in the radius.
