Hey everyone,

I'd like to see the name of this Elite Mod unit changed to differentiate them more from Plague Marines.

Some ideas are in the poll. If you like multiple names or want to suggest another one, use the last option and specify in a post.

Would have gone with Plaguebearers but I think that's the name of Nurgle demons iirc.

@Atlas: Yeah Plaguebearers are demons of Nurgle.

@Riku: Those guys are Plague Marines, thats the name of the unit in the lore and the tabletop and whatnot. Hence I am not sure why you wanna change the name of the unit to begin with. To differentiate them from the missile plagues you said, mhhh, well that's why they are called chosen Plague Marines.

I think they should be changed to be Plague Ogryns.

It that way they will be more recognabile on the battlefield, and they will be an actual unit that exist in TableTop.

Indeed, and that is what they are. The names are nice, but can you imagine anyone trying to tell you or cast a game with Harbringers of Decay in it? Bit of a mouthful and not relevant to the unit when you consider they are just Plague Marines that shank you with tetanus sticks.

I vote for Tetanus Stick Shankers.

In all honestly though, I feel that Chosen Plague Marine is good enough.

I voted for no name change. Chaos Space Marine Chosen Ones and Plague Marines are classics from the boardgame, Chosen Plague Marines sounds logical, correct and coherent enough for Chosen Ones devoted to Nurgle.

I voted a while ago for no change, the name is clear and we don't need them to be called harbringer of doom and decay and bla bla bla. That being said what they really need is an icon change (Kilgarn we need you ! ).

A Chosen devoted to Nurgle is not a Chosen Plague Marine, but a Chosen Nurgle Marine.

There is no such thing as a Chosen Plague Marine as it doesn't make any sense.

In fact "Nurgle marines" don't exist. The straight correct therm would be "Chosen Ones with mark of Nurgle", but that comes form the current codex where normal Chaos Space Marines can have marks of Chaos. Before that, only devoted marines had the marks: Berserkers, Thousand Sons, Plague Marines and Noise Marines.

Chosen Plague Marines still is a great and more than correct name.
