To be completely honest, I kind of expected that last link to be about the TPP

It still blows my mind that they wrote that letter. And it's still depressing, even after knowing about it for so long, how easy it is to buy their opinions :(

Not that things like this haven't happened on both sides before, I guess, but it's just so ridiculous.

Oh comeon, America is life. What goes on in the US is massively influential to what goes on in the UK at least. We're practically the 51st state of the US.

I post these links because i think they are important, so should you.

Regarding TYT, nobody said anyone has to agree with them on anything. You can always nail down the pieces they cover at the source. They are quite entertaining at times, which is why i watch them. On the other hand, It's not demagoguery when it is true. Of course, i don't expect you to take much of this shit seriously; USA is not where you are living in. In any case, however, show some respect.

I sense the sentiment "oh, they are misrepresenting something here, so they are shit, i don't trust them on anything." We pick and choose what to listen anyway, why not do the same when you watch a show. Put your own ego aside for a moment please.

Not seen the links yet, but judging by the replies and the context I reckon I can guess what they are about. I know someone who is very concerned with this stuff and what the government does/how the media report it. Plus he lives in California.

They are on a good cause with the anti corruption wolf pac thing. I had them subbed for around half a year and watched plenty of their videos on various subjects. They were entertaining and seemed different from mainstream media, which led me to sub them in the first place. But after a while I noted how they were extremely biased on certain subjects and sometimes just generally disrespectful and childish, which occasionally seemed way out of character as well, I don't really know what that is all about but it just rubbed me the wrong way.

I still watch their entertainment based channel whattheflick occasionally, their game of thrones episode reviews were gold.

im just saying that, you posted these links with literally no context at all, i have to actually click them. and when i click the first two, i read the title of the article, got confused, and asked here wtf these links are, nothing more.

you can't just post links with no context and expect people to know exactly what they are, especially when such a small percentage of this community is in america.

Its okay. I won't be sad if nobody is responding to me. Some of the links point out many problems in my very PC worldview. These are a very sensitive topic. In any case, thanks for you and others' attention to what I posted. It is random shit forums, so i guess it fits to have no context. I suppose then you find something remarkable in them, so they won't be complete waste of time.

Hmmm, I assumed the Brits would be seen as the general progenitor, but that us Aussies were the fatter little brother - we call ourselves the 51st US State a bit as well.

Thanks Obama.

Well I dunno really. If I think about it properly we're not that similar at all. Different education system, different academia, different cultures and attitudes, way different ethnic make-up, vastly different economics and legal system, very different crime problems, different diets, very different levels of religiousness.

We just speak the same language and go to war with one another. And I appreciate for the US folk out there that there are vast differences in terms of all of the above between each of the individual US states... *Shrugs*
