No launcher ?

Hi,

Sorry to disturb I have a little probleme to play with ELITE mod there is no launcher after I had it installed.

And it seems that I am not the only one to have this issue today http://steamcommunity.com/groups/DoW2EliteMod

I have used the default path for the game and the mod install so I don't think the problem come from here.

what do you mean by launcher exactly?

when you install the mod there should be a separate .exe file that was added to your desktop for launching ELITE. if you launched the game through steam then it will launch the retail, or unmodded version.

Yes the .EXE file is missing that what i meant on my desktop that what i meant and when I try to launch with steam with the command in the launch properties the game just crash.

This is going to sound silly, but did you try uninstalling and then reinstalling Retribution completely?

It's impossible to say what it is without seeing anything of your setup.

Make sure everything is in the right place. Steam/DoW2/Mod are probably not in the same place.

Elite mod are at this path like the game itself (C/Program Filex x86/ Steam / Steam Apps/ Common/ Dawn of war retribution)

And at this path there is a new folder name Elite.

I have just redone everything in order and now I have the icon on the desktop and the game is working just fine.

I don't know were the problem was. Thanks a lot anyway for helping me.

Or u can manualy add those launch options (steam=>library=>Retrib=>properties=>set launch options) in ur steam so steam will launch Elite mod version for u:

-applaunch 56400 -nomovies -modname Elite -dev

And u can delete it if u want to play vanilla game. ez

I never said it was easier. I said it was easy

I dont play too much vanilla retrib after i found out elite (except maybe last stand) and accessing steam games from steam is quite handy to me
