just popping in to say that, i just purchased £600 worth of PC parts as im upgrading my PC, hopefully.

so if there is no complications, higher quality streams w/ higher framerate and the likes. also i'll be absent a little bit while i upgrade (not that that matters as i've been on ELITE hiatus for 2 weeks now anyway :3)

basically if i bought a motherboard aswell, i'd have a whole new computer. because i've decided to uprade everything but the motherboard.

i was originally going to upgrade only my RAM and CPU. but dat £200 R9 290 was too tempting.

Who is this vapor, never heard of him, also Ven's stream for the most part tend to be about req starvation and impossible enemy compositions.

If you're planning on doing more streaming with the new machine then an i5 or above with a very decent GPU will let you go to 60fps no problem since a lot of streaming software is very dependent on the GPU. I found that before I had done the upgrade to my own machine that I couldn't do full screen as well as go above 30fps before I saw frame drops. Only upgraded the GPU from an HD 6870 to a GTX 970 and I can do full screen as well as 60fps at 720p

Then again, any issues related to choppy streams are bandwidth related.

i linked above what i got. i got a AMD R9 290 4GB and a 8 core 4.0ghz CPU.

all the PC parts arrived today (finally) so will be starting my build later tonight, and will be downloading everything through the night and tomorrow. likely will try streaming monday or somethin

i also bought some wifi PCIe cards so i can do benchmarks as to if my wifi USB stick (what im current using) is fast enough or not.

i might be able to stream at 1080p now aswell. atleast at 60fps 720p.

you can stream some games at 1080p from the same pc no issue. that's what I do and I have almost the exact same setup.

don't forget you can OC that video card. at least I did lol

nah im not gonna bother overclocking anything until i need it or i decide to spend on better cooling for everything.

ok so a few problems...

PC is built and working for the most part. however

internet is as slow as a crawl compared to what it used to be. steam games used to download at 3mb/s-4mb/s. now downloading at 700kb/s-1mb/s. using the same wifi dongle.
windows updates get stuck on 0% on the configure, it then fails and reboots.
oh, and it litterally just blue screened while copying files over from HDDs

anyone got any ideas? yes i do have all up to date drivers.

EDIT: apparently internet stopped working full stop on it now, looks like i had to run some troubeshooting runtimes to get it working again

EDIT2: nevermind! all working now. will leave it on all night downloading stuff. will maybe do a test stream either tomorrow or the day after that.
