World Builder on Windows 8.1

Okayyyy... WorldBuilder won't launch for me on a new PC with Win8.1. Anybody know what I need to do? Google isn't turning up much (or I'm using the wrong keywords)

OK, to answer my own question - I manually installed a whole bunch of "Microsoft VisualC++ redistributable files, and World Builder now runs. I'm not sure if I needed any particular ones (and I hope I haven't opened up any new security holes on my machine) but it works now at least.
