That was always one of the most bizarre and interesting shows of the 90's next to Rocko's modern life. I remember there was an episode in Rocko's where Heffer goes to hell and comes back only to find that he's still in hell and the Devil is his house laughing at him manically.
Courage the cowardly dog was also like this. Even the the episode about the guy with a hair cutting fetish was super creepy or when a alligator that owns a circus of puppets but he ends up turning his viewers into the puppets that are on stage.
It has to be one of my favourite cartoons for how strange and creepy it was.
