MRT 14 went off with great success, and we're going to work to keep Monthly Rumbles going on an actual monthly basis. We'll be doing smaller, or more specialized, tournaments in the middle of the month but anticipate an MRT in some form at the last weekend of every month from here on out until further notice.

General Info:
The complete set of information including Brackets and Participants are listed in the Monthly Rumble Tournament 15 page.
Monthly Rumble Tournament #15 which was held on Saturday, June 27th.
Starting time: 18:00 CET (12:00 EST).
The tournament will be played in the 2v2 format.
The tournament will be welcome to All Skill Levels.
The tournament will be played on the 2.4.1 patch.

It's going to be a single elimination tournament and we'll play as many signups as possible. There will be a consolation match for 3rd and 4th place teams.

To enter provide the following information in a reply below:
- Your steam account name with Steam link. If you have trouble with this, let us know.
- Your 3 commander choices or random.

If you're participating as a team, please give the name of your teammate as well. Their own linking of the Steam name and heroes will be considered a confirmation. As a bit of flavoring, we'd encourage teams to also come up with a team name. It's not a requirement, but it adds to the flavor of a team tournament.

Note that you can participate in the tournament without having a teammate ready to go. We'll assign you an available teammate on the day of the tournament should you need it.

Refer to the general rules thread for an overview.

I'm highlighting this section of the rules in case there is confusion regarding hero and map pick order:

Map Picks
Maps are always selected before hero picks.
The first round of a match will always be a fixed map as shown in the brackets. After this, the map pick will be the losing team's choice. Only maps in the map pool may be played to be considered a valid tournament match.

No map can be played more than once within a match. Each team will have the option to veto a single map during a match, excluding the first round map. Maps that are variants of other maps, such as Pale Tooth Gorge and Green Tooth Gorge, will count as one map and can't be selected in the same round.

Hero Picks
The team in the top bracket will lock in their commanders first for the first game. Next game the team in the bottom bracket will lock into their commanders first, alternating like this between teams until the final game. In the final game of the round, game 3 or 5 depending on the format, the losers of the previous game will pick the map and then their heroes first.

To check out who is on the top and bottom of your cell bracket, just look at the Brackets page. If your team name is blue, you're the top of the bracket. If red, you're the bottom of the bracket.

Ok, it was late at night when I put up the tourney topics so I'll cover some things I wanted to.

First off, I want opinions on the date. Truth be told, I don't really want every tournament to be on a Saturday. There are bros here who work on that day and if we keep that static I feel that is unfair towards them. I think Sunday is the obvious replacement. Let me know what dates near the end of June are good for you.

Second, I've been thinking about making September the "major tourney month" of the year and having the Elite Mod Championship be held at the end of September. This idea is one that was actually conjured up while I was updating the "Tournaments" page on the main site so it's not thought through really well. Let me know. If this idea pulls through, I might retroactively use the scores of MRT 14 instead of MRT 15 (due to being 2v2) in order to do the seeding of the EMC.

And as usual, whatever feedback you want to give me please do so! Whether here or on Steam, I'll try to reply.

As a general heads-up, but I'm not actively campaigning and updating this thread yet. I'm taking a small break and then I'll see to the BT first. I've left this thread up for early-comers right now, but look for it to really pick up in a week or two

Can we do the big tourney in October? September is still super duper busy construction season.

No idea if I'm working on that day, or not. I've had several people who'd finally stop pestering me to consider doing the Two v Two MRT. So if they read this it's official for me to be considering to sign up.

Worst case I do join and no one has a partner, I'll fill in for a humane good deed of the month, or just hop onto a stream for commentary's sake.

I'll edit my choices for commanders in the next day, or two, if I decide on finally...ready for a public humiliation. (Joking on that last part)
