Hero (and Lord General) mechanics

Since players start the game with a hero that costs nothing, how is the hero's revival cost determined?
Also the Lord General comes in a squad, as opposed to being a single model. When the Lord General's bodyguards die, they have to be manually reinforced like normal infantry models. How are bodyguard reinforcement costs calculated? Also, is it possible to kill the Lord General without killing his bodyguards and his retinue, or is there a damage-sharing mechanic on the Lord General like on scout sergeants? If not, what happens to his retinue? After I revive the Lord General, do bodyguards (and any purchased retinue members) automatically respawn, or do I have to buy them?
Thanks in advance.

Levels affect hero revival cost afaik, dunno the exact formulas.
Lord General's bodyguards (storm troopers) always die before LG does, however it is possible for LG to die before his srgt/commy/vox man and if that happens those retinue members will just stay where LG died and unable to move or fight and will likely end up dying. However if you rebuy LG while those retinue members are still alive they will spawn at base with LG. Bodyguards do not respawn when you revive LG so you have to rebuy them, they have a fixed cost of 25 req to reinforce.

Sometimes wondering how it's possible to LG die and his BG dont. Same for serg or commi of GM squad - sometimes die while squad is stll alive (really rare thing though)

ISo suppose my Lord General dies in a team game and allied hero revives him. Does that mean the retinue members respawn on the spot? Does Larraman's Blessing have the same effects on retinue members as re-purchasing Lord General?

I believe as long as the Lord General goes down his Stormtroopers will go down and be dead,l upon reviving, whatever way, you may repurchase them.

The minimum cost to revive a hero is 250, and the maximum cost (the cost it starts counting down from) is increased by 50 requisition every level. At level 1, it takes 20 seconds for the cost to go down to 250 from 300, and the amount of time it takes to reach the minimum cost increases by 10 seconds every level.
So at level 1, it starts at 300 and goes down to 250 after 20 seconds, and at level 10 the rebuy cost starts at 750 and takes 110 seconds to go down to 250.
Not sure how the actual 250 cost was decided though.
