1v1 Tutor

Good day,

I have been a long-time player of COH and most other DOW games. I am familiar with the game mechanics and the game ''vocabulary'' that is used and have often followed the casting that has been done on the internet for DOW II such as Indrid, Red Rupee, Cretella, crazyman etc. These do form some kind of base knowledge of the game for me. However, I want to introduce myself to a more competitive level of DOWII as I feel that my skills are far from refined and I would like to gather some experience. Nonetheless, I am looking for someone who is willing to tutor me in the great art that is 1v1. My preferences are shown beneath.

Specifics:
Timezone:CEST
Race preferences: Eldar or Orks (Preferrably Eldar though)
Games-types: 1v1 mostly, but 2v2 will be fine as well. I prefer to avoid 3v3s due to various reasons that are not important.
Instructional method(s): I would love to have someone literally ''tutor'' me, not a meager internet post that says: Get this, get that. While they do help, I think playing and practicing with a skilled opponent that simultaneously constructively criticises what I do is much more useful withal.
Maps: Not such a big deal, apart from a few less well-made community maps (No offence meant to any mappers)

Comments:
I know the Eldar are getting some sort of ''overhaul'' for the next patch, so I am waiting to familiarise myself with that first.
Also, I am aware that Eldar are perhaps not the most suited faction for 1v1, yet I do like a challenge.

Naturally, contact will be via Steam: http://steamcommunity.com/id/warhammerchaosgod/

I hope to hear from the good forum folk soon.

Kind regards,

The overly serious and dramatic sard that is I,

Odysseus.

I do think that they remain competitive in the right hands, with different heroes offering different playstyles and options to outmaneuvre your opponent. Though I'm not an expert Eldar player by any stretch of the imagination, I do know the hallmarks of a good Eldar player (positioning, baiting, ambushing etc.) and I would be more than happy to help you out on GMT evenings or various times around the weekend.

Steam name: Moofassas

Thank you for answering!

Forgive me, but I get 6 Moofassas when searching. I verified my name and it is the only name that appears when you search it correctly. Could you please add me instead? It would be much easier and much appreciated as well. We don't have to get to it right away, just get to acquaint a little, perhaps.

Much obliged.

I can try to help you out when I'm able to. I mostly play Warp Spider though, if that matters. Haven't been able to play much recently. I'll also take you up on your music sharing offer :)

Other people who I know play Eldar (definitely better than I do): HansMoleman, Tex, Adila, HolyHammer (good luck getting him to help :P ), Riku, Torpid, Noisy, Asmon and anyone else who is just a solid player. Sorry to whoever I'm forgetting. Vapor used to play Farseer a lot, FiSH, GiDDoLo, PhatE I think...I'm sure there are others, but I'm blanking at the moment.

@Atlas

Could you tell me how to do that? I never go on Steam as a browser really.

@Wise Windu: Thank you kindly, good sir. It should be no issue at all. Although, I just changed my Steam name to: A Warhammer to Chaos

I shall await your friend request(s), good people of Elite Mod.

Not sure about tutoring, but I'm always happy to have a new 1v1 player bash me.

Start from your main profile screen. You'll know you have it when you see your name and your profile picture to the left along with recent activity listed below that. Right click on your profile picture and click "copy page URL".

Then paste it where it needs to be and if you want to hotlink it, just put the url bracket around it in the post editor.

For example, my steam link is:
