i recently got a new SSD, so naturally i tried to install dow on said SSD to benefit. the game itself installed fine and i could launch both retail and 2.3.2 beta just fine on there, however 2.3.1 and 2.3.0 did not launch, at all.

i have my steam games on my E drive and my OS + DOW on my C drive, so i installed the game to a different install location than the Steam client. that is the only thing i can think that is preventing it as the shortcut points to the steam client on drive E, so how would i redirect the shotcut to my C drive DOW instillation?

it doesnt even seem to work if i change my launch options on the steam library as shown here:

There's a bug in the installer that adds DOW2-ELITE to the path when you use the browse button. Remove DOW2-Elite from the path in the installer or follow instructions here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPCXG1qXzUw or viewtopic.php?f=13&t=909

that didnt seem to do anthing. my .module file is there, retail works, and so does the 2.3.2 beta, but not 2.3.0 or 2.3.1. however it does sound like a similar problem to the one you linked.

are you saying it should just straight up delete the DOW2-ELITE directory?
