Dawn of War Elite 2.4 doesn't work at all

I've downloaded and installed Elite 2.4 and it keeps crashing. It is getting so bad that my entire computer froze and just crashed and it's literally impossible for me to play the game at all. I have no idea what the issue is from sound bug glitch to the entire main menu glitching in and out of blackness, lagging every few seconds and fading to black. All of these issues never occurred before Elite 2.4 installation, and now I can't play Elite at all. I can start the game, I can get to the main menu, but anytime I go into a game all these issues start happening. I don't know what to do since I can't confirm what the issue is at all, can someone please shed some light on this annoying problem?

I guess the first step would be to try reinstalling it if you haven't already.

In your retribution folder, is there an "Elite" folder and ELITE.module file?

Also make sure you're running it from the right shortcut and that you have -dev mode removed from startup preferences.

If any dump (.dmp) files were generated from the crashes it will give some indication of the cause. Check in My Documents\My Games\Dawn of War II - Retribution\. The game itself also stores some info in My Documents\My Games\Dawn of War II - Retribution\Logfiles\warnings.txt, but in this cause I doubt it's related to the mod.

How I do remove the dev mode from start up preferences? That could be the issue.

Go to your steam library, right click on Retribution and select Properties. In the General tab, open Set Launch Options.
