With GK now having an infiltration unit in tier1 that can walk up to a tightly placed gen farm and blow them up with one unstoppable ability it got me thinking about how gen farms are created.

It seems to be that they are placed randomly, sometimes they are spaced out and other times they are clumped together and more prone to attack by flamers. It appears as if there is a random dynamic that can make your farm easier to bash than others.

Is there a way to place gens or have them placed more consistently?

If you REALLY REALLY wanted to, you could pathblock where the gens want to land- they would fall elsewhere in the possible net.

But no. I don't recommend wasting time and effort doing so. As far as I'm concerned, it's part of the RNG of the game.
