Dawn of War Codex

The title says all. I bought Retribution in early September 2014, played a couple of matches in Elite mod and all was working fine. After having to format my laptop (damn you Tzeentch) I reinstalled steam and downloaded Retribution and Elite mod once again. The installation seemed to work, but, as Wise Windu said, I wrongly started Elite without having first launched retail. So I deleted the entire retribution and Elite folders, redownloaded both, updated DirectX and all the drivers on my machine, but still, the game won't launch. I go to my steam library, doubleclick the retail version, the steam notification about the game being launched pops up for a brief second but then nothing. I tried all of these https://support.steampowered.com/kb_art ... -USFX-5568 without success. Any idea? I'm running windows 8.1 btw.

Do you still have launch options for Elite set in your Steam Library? If so, remove them.

Have you tried verifying retribution files on steam?

Yep

warnings.txt in Documents\my games\Dawn of War II - Retribution\Logfiles\ might give some hints as to what the problem is. Post the log here if you need help.

I don't even have a "logfiles" folder, just a "playback" one containing temp.rec
