So I think my T1 was really strong, but I always lose in T2. I played 2 more games in the matchmaking agaisnt this Nid player, and his T2 always destroys me.

He plays Ravener, I played FS.
When the Warrior call in comes, I lose.

I am not sure what to build in T2. It feels like he has a strong rangedforce (shoots down my FS during gravityblades easily), but also a strong meleeforce.
The falcon I tried the game before (not this replay). But the Raveners or Ravenar hero really destroy it even if alone. On the other hand, the Falcon takes ages to hurt the Tyrant guard. If I always kite the Tyrantguard, he gets overall more map presence and bleed out of it, for cheaper.
I had some success using it to backcap, and harrass everything that has no AV. One game I could win, just by never engaging the Nid blob. But thats not possible on all maps.

The Wraithlord got wrecked this game, even though I felt it was the perfect oppurtunity for it to go in, Psysic storm wrecked them, and I had a Shuriken backing it up to keep the supression. Too many Warriors and Genestealers and the Hero.

So, I am not sure what to build in T2.
Maybe Gravityblades for the melee, + Wraithguard for the Ranged?
Maybe Darkreapers against the Warriors?
More layered Shuriken platforms?
Firedragons?

Or do I just need to micro better? Any help is welcome, I am not saying Nids OP. I can definitly see myself beating it, I just don't know exactly how^^

Edit: Also, if you want to see something funny http://www.filedropper.com/2pquestsdisa ... 0521-01-33 I title it bullshit mines. Honestly, why is it OK that the Ravener can plant them while my banshees/seer council smack him? And why does one sporemine explosion 50% of the health of my Guardians? And why do the mines take so many hits before they die? And why can the nid player field so many units at the beginning? And why is the Ravener so good in melee, with that Ranged AV weapon?^^

Some thoughts:

1. First big thing was losing the Rangers. They didn't need to be in front of your suppression team taking damage when all of the enemy units were about to be suppressed. It was a fairly needless loss, and you would have been in a far more reasonable position going into T2 with the Rangers still up.

2. You were in T2 way before the Tyranid player was, and you had more than enough to get a Wraithlord before he could have gotten AV on the field. Assuming you don't get over-aggressive with the WL, that would have put the game largely in your favor, I think, even without the Rangers. I would have gotten the Wraithlord first, then the Warp Spiders probably. Vehicle superiority early on in T2 can be huge, especially with a tech lead. With that, you could've pushed for a mostly uncontested power bash.

3. Losing the Warp Spiders was also not so good. They're really useful in controlling any potential Tyrant Guards and can help bleed Warriors and all other nid stuff really. Like I said above, I would've gotten the WL first in the tech position you were in.

Side note: jumping Warp Spiders into a Nid ranged blob alone is a bad idea :)

4. Rune Armour I think was a good choice, and I think is a good choice against Nids in general. Not only does it help to control the Genestealers, but is useful against all of Nids' blobby infantry.

5. Wraithlord control: well first of all, don't move your WL up by itself to bash a power node. Almost never (never) a good idea. It took a lot of damage from the Venom Brood and that negatively influenced the subsequent fight. After that though, you let it take damage from the Venom Brood as they were about to move in range of suppression and this further decreased its health. After that, the Ravener call in happened. But your first priority with the Wraithlord should be to tie up the most potent source of AV if possible, and in this case the Venom Brood were easily in range. You kept attacking the closer Warrior Brood, and as a result, the Venoms took out your WL easily.

I think the combination of that last part and not having the Rangers and Warp Spiders to help out in that fight really hurt. Tighten up some things and I think you had that game in the bag tbh.
