Files are invisible?

Postby Andrain » Thu 09 Jul, 2015 12:57 am

I've attempted to follow other troubleshooting threads in this forum but I've found myself in a vexing issue.

First of all I'm running Windows 7, I've attempted to install the mod into the proper folder. That acted as though the mod installation never happened, there was no change in my disk space ect. I tried again as admin just to make sure.

By this point I went into another thread in the forums where it suggested I install it to the desktop or another similar place. I did this, again nothing appeared on my desktop. This time however my Disk space changed. When I went back to the installer and took a look there was apparently an 'Elite' Folder that is supposed to be on my Desktop that I couldn't see. I tried to delete the folder from the installer, but the available disk space did not change. Finally I made an empty Elite Folder and tried to install it there. Once again the Available Disk space decreased but the files didn't seem to exist. Is there any way for me to get to that data?

Do you have anti-virus running? It might not like you running an 800MB+ .exe it doesn't recognise and is deleting or quarantining the files each time.

Negative, I just tried again with my Anti Virus off and I got a no install to my desktop. Which made sense since my system thinks it's already there and Then I made another new folder and installed to it. Once again my available disk space decreased, but there was nothing in that folder and when I deleted that empty folder I didn't get my disk space back.
