PS: Check out the new bits I made for Warlock if you haven't done so.

The model it's awesome.
When a model for the regular DR? They urgently need a better model.

The body for the DR is actually finished as it uses the same model with only slightly adjusted texture. The head and the accessories still need unwraping which will be the most time consuming work. Then I have to make the textures but that ought to go quite fast. Bones are pretty much done.
I do hope to get ti done by the end of this month if not sooner.

The exarch uses guardian animation and the rest of the squad are spiders.

The DRE model is good, but the textures are HUGE. They take up 7 x 1024 KB just for the textures (for comparison, Ultramarines DLC Tac Marine textures are between 40 - 340 KB each). You should scale them down to something reasonable.
Right now the Exarch model breaks squad member model textures unless I edit the model and I don't have the time for that immediately so I will apply just the head.

I made the textures in higher resolution just in case as they can be scaled down anytime. I'll do that before I post the final version.
I plan to finish the model for the rest of the squad in 2-3 days max so there shouldn't be any problems with textures then.

scale down the ones used in the game and index the colours if you haven't already. that should help a lot.

In the end I didn't find indexing the colors necessary as the final size of the texture wasn't changed. If you insist on having them indexed though just let me know.

I have to ask, why is the Exarch using Guardian/DA animations anyway?
Doesnt really work out with the underslung weapon he is using.
Is it because he really needs animations Warpspiders dont have? Whats the reasoning behind it?

I actually just used the skeleton that the original DR had. It was later in the game that I realized that it's a Guardian animation. I suppose I could bound the model to a Spider skeleton if it doesn't affect the functionality.

It was originally just to make the Exarch stand out.

With the new models, does he stand out enough now?
Maybe its just me, Im kinda the visual guy, but it think it looks a bit strange how his left hand just melts into his gun^^

Is it not possible to create/modify existing animations (I've read santo's tut about editing existing ones)? I notice most of the new unites copied animations over from existing units. I understand it's a lot of work, so when copied over that might be a more efficient approach. I'm working on animations for a couple of units already in my spare time...

It would be great if new animations could be made. Unfortunately I don't actually know anything about animating. So right now it's modeling-only for me. If you have the time and feel like it making new animations for Reapers would certainly be appreciated.

I'll take a look, but classes have started so I might not have as much time as this needs
