About Finding a Match

Postby Inland Murmur » Sun 12 Jul, 2015 5:04 am

Welp, here we go.

Probably no one remembers me from retail days, but I used to muck around the gamereplays forums and have been on and off elite since the beginning. I've avoided posting things on this forum because reasons. I'm thoroughly midlevel--at this point, I'm about to hit 800 hours, and I ain't planning on being pr0 anytime soon. Which is to say, ever.

That's nuffa that. But: What's the story with finding a match since 2.3? I can usually find something on the custom games section, but lately I can't find anything. I used to love ladder funzies in 1v1, but... 3s are more entertaining for some reason these days. I'm East Coast 'Merica, so that's a problem, but I haven't been able to find a single match lately--are y'all on matchmaker?

I understand that groups are a thing. I'm on them. I'm just curious to hear what boardmembers' playtimes are like.

Let's just make sure that you are on 2.4.1 right?
That could be an issue when finding games :P

On top of that, what's your timezone? Iirc, it's mostly American and European timezones that see a lot of activity.

Most people prefer custom games it seems, despite ladder working. IO think ladder mainly gets used for 1v1 but even so, custom games are the way people like to take things.
The internal battery has run dry, the game can now be played. However, clock based events will no longer occur.

I've been getting plenty of matches in 1vs1 matchmaking, peak time GMT +1.

Yep, I'm up to date.

Eastern Standard. Yesterday, for instance, I kept up custom games for a few hours at random times throughout the day and didn't even see one game up.

Guess I'll keep checking. Thanks for the replies, all. :)
