tankbustas
Are they really as bad as they look http://www.dawnofwar.info/index.php?page=elite/tankbustas? Ranged weapon does16 damage per hit, 4dps. ? They're used primarily for their barrage, I guess?

Times 4 of them is 16 dps. That's about the same as a tax missile launcher.
Keep in mind though that they each fire 3 missiles so really they can deal up to 192 damage in a single burst (this wont usually happen since their accuracy sucks though).
Dps can be very misleading, especially with AV weapons since they tend to have longer cooldowns

The weapon has "a scatter of missiles" not listed in the codex? That would account for it.

Tank busters are decent if you can hit a chimera or razorback with their volley and get a couple bursts on them they kill them pretty easy makes orks able to deal with quick razorback bloodcrusher plays quite well considering they have no power cost,
But I don't recommend buying them vs walkers you should still use your lootas for them.
