What if jumps briefly increased field of view (just while jumping), either around the unit or around the target area? As an eldar noob specialist, I'd probably include the leap and skyleap for the autarch.

You get the extra vision when you land at the target spot. I don't understand what this would accomplish.

Give another reason to use skyleap? Create a slight immersion as your troops got a better perspective from the air? Give slightly better situational awareness to assaults with jump squads who don't have scouts too.

If you're using Autarch leap or ASM jump to get a slightly better view of what could be around, you're doing it wrong.
