as we all know. there are some " less good" maps in the game that nobody plays and with good reason. is it not time to get rid of swamps of slaughter and all the other awfull maps that we never ever play. just a little house cleaning. nobody will ever miss them.

geilescwin mine return to galgotha somthing swamps of slaughter habour somthing
even max power called some of his first maps for bad and wanted them removed.. like i said iam bad with map names cause i never play them... but we all avoid the same maps... just purge them..

I agree.
It would make the things a little bit more clear, and, with a little bit of luck, people will start to experiment on different maps once we took the bad ones out and leave only the "community approved" ones.

I definitely agree with you. We need to start a vote for removal of some very bad maps that no one plays. It is a huge pain in the ass for hosts too go through that map list in order to click on maps he wants. It is just way too long and full or junks.

i can't look for names cause i'm at work atm and i might spell some of them wrong but here are some that i really hate:
armageddon river crossing (its played by some people but it's so fucking lame...) skullmasha brackens tartarus harbor fall of hyades (not sure if i mix it up. i mean this oversized jungle version of argus desert gate) nids never sleep (i somehow like its look but it plays a bit weird)

and slaanesh iam pretty sure they dont take up that much space... its just annoying to go through the list of useless maps again and again to find the map you want.

I will miss Armageddon River Crossing, had some fun there. And it has "Armageddon" in its name.
As for other maps. Well, someone might use them in videos on gameplay, fightclub thing, WH40k DoW2 fan movies, etc.

Whilst not in favour of removal, there are a lot of duff maps which combined take up lots of space. 1v1 averages at 10mb, 2v2 at 15mb and 3v3 20-30mb. Four or five bad 3v3 maps is over a hundred Mb of data saved, just to put it into perspective.

the maps need fixing they are terrible. They don't make sense why they are in there and the balancing of the flow of the map is way off compared to the better maps, nobody plays them (for good reason). They are a bad representation of the elite mod. its like not fixing balance stuff and leaving it there over a year. I applaud and thank anyone for making maps but that is no reason to keep maps that are awful. Delete the maps so they aren't played and aren't representing the elite mod. What do you think a newbie to the game will think when they see these maps and how bad they are?

Please just take them out.. will make the mod file smaller and people can just download the bad maps perhaps in another file if they really are in the mood for some bad maps and wasting their time with them.... we all know nobody plays them... and they are just wasting space

- Avensa because its a clusterfuck of a map - Death World Temple - because bad map layout - Vanilograd Harbor - because way too campy - all Calderis Refinery variants - because its really easy to get base locked (bad map design) - Sicaris Plateau - because the left side has an advantage over the right side - Capital Spire - top team has an advantage over the bottom team - Capital Spire Redux - because it looks like someone took a dumb and released it as a map - Tiber Outpost - because its too big - Kathari Ruins - because I don't like it - Typhon Areana - because abusing turrets on that map is too easy, especially on the bottom part of the map - Ulthane Temple - because people with shitty pcs always complain about some shit - Valhalla Oilfield - because too big - Angel Gate - because horrible vehicle pathing
That leaves us with the bestest maps:
- all the argus variants, argent shelf, JoC (trolololol) and White Walls of Calderis

what you say max is mostly true. but then we would be left with 5 maps or somthing.. seems a little extreme.. even argus has a flaw or 2. and people love that map.. we mostly need 2 get rid of all the crap maps that were made for elite. not the old ones from retail
