I'm going to cast stuff!

So casting is something I've wanted to do for awhile but I didn't know what game to do. After playing around on the mod for awhile and participating in one of the tournaments I decided to play a bigger role in the community. I've tried casting my own games back when I was a junior in high school and... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N62N1NE2Ulk Let's say that I did not enjoy rewatching this. (I also though curse words were cool and funny). After maturing for a few years I was able to release this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSC6wAos67k

I plan on uploading every other day but I would greatly appreciate any advice you guys would have or whether or not you would keep watching my content.

also does anyone know how I can take out the harshness of my S's? I found it incredibly annoying to listen to myself and sounding like I was half snake...

Set the video to public. It's private atm.

Not too shabby! Some of the sounds are still rather harsh though, like the 'S's you mention, but I think that might also be due to the software. Keep it up and good luck!

I really liked it, so keep it up!

I guess, you should directly ask experienced casters for some advices on software (if you need any) and casting in general.

I tried recording a new video but for some reason fraps was giving me literally 0 FPS. Currently trying to figure out how to fix it. I might start recording using an external hard drive but I won't be able to get that for about a week...

I was able to fix my whole 1fps problem and was able to get this up. I was also able to take care of my sibilant S's so it's not as painful to listen to. Again, I'm always looking for positive criticism.

Up the terrain detail, because none of the map splats show up otherwise.

A map with splats and without so you can see the difference:

Without:

I can try and do that. Although I'm not sure how my toaster powered by 7 hamsters are going to handle it.

Watching the rep now and it's cool! My only issue is to see if you could possibly up your vids to 720p in the future.

I'm gonna be recording again later tonight. I'll tweak some settings and see if I can up the quality.

I think I'm gonna set a schedule of recording a bunch of games on the weekend and uploading them one a day. So if anybody has some games for me, I would greatly appreciate it :)

you need to set it to high settings... the game just looks meeh with medium og low settings.. and make the ingame sounds louder..otherwise not bad

and i think you have a good voice for it... some people simply have a voice that is not suited for the job..

What, no casts for a month?!?

You have a nice voice for casting. There seems to be a lot of "burst" at the start of your sentences. You might have your mike too close to your mouth or you might be attacking the start of your sentences too hard

Just a personal thing, I don't think you should apologise at the start of the cast for not casting for a while or about the quality of your equipment; although it can be interesting for the listener if you have some new software to try out.

Thanks for the feedback!

But life stuff has kind of gotten in the way a bit. I wanted to have a new video up by today, but apparently Relic is still kicking and decided to release an update that wiped all the replays I had saved up... I'll try my best to get one out this weekend.

So funny story. I had recorded a video yesterday to post and it was a great match and everything. I just forgot to turn on my mic >.>

T_T

So... why don`t you record it again? Was it a live game or a replay?
