Techmarine vs Warpspider - Why cant I win this?

The last couple of days I really hit a brickwall with this matchup.

Every game against Warpspider Exarchs I horribly get my a** handed to.

The enemy's build usually seems to be Banshee into Shuriken Platform into Rangers.

And at that Point I allready lost the game, as I'm unable to push a single meter against it and are basicly basepinned.

I guess in such a situation you really need Assault Marines? But as a Techmarine I just dont feel like I can support them enough against the Banshees,

Any tips or tricks for me?
What unit composition or Wargear should I buy to fight this effectively?

You NEED asm against Eldar, never get devs they will be useless.
Use master crafted bolter to suppress+pick off banshee models

As an Apothacary i like to go for the scout tac asm, with master crafted bolter,

Yes that 2 scouts, put a shotgun on 1 scout, and if uve held your ground and power, a sniper rifle. as the tm does about the same amount of damage as a tac, u may not need the master crafted bolter. however getting a sniper on 1 scout squad makes them battle orientated, so that upgrade depends on the map.

U rly need ASM vs eldar, they are your saving grace vs rangers and platforms

Also in t2 you will need the merciless strike (serg) for asm.
Bionics/Signum are both great armors against eldar first one because of the knockback it does (great at protecting your tacs etc from shees) and the second one increases your ranged damage+range and gives you mark target (marks target-marked target takes 50% more damage) and that's great since eldar units are already squishy.

Go 2x sniper Scout, TSM, TM with MCB and Bionics. T2 into dread and instant win, when micro-ed correctly.

You are going have to seriously outplay your opponent with that and it doesn't scale for shit.

Don't listen to them eldar players giving advice on how to beat eldars. ;)

on to your question. I for a good while tried every combo i could against eldar that didnt involved ASM because i too thought banshees plus heroes plus nades would just OWN them. Once i felt comfortable in my tactics and micro i started using ASM and it made a world of diff.

this is really almost exactly how it goes.

2 scout..one shotgun one sniper tm with MCB and asm. your job is just to hold out until you can gain an advantage in t2..your units get better and better and his just get more varied. IMHO. usually if im in t2 vs an equal eldar its no where near as hard as in t1.

Edit: woops i forgot to say here that of course you need a tac in your build..with flamers if you can since its good vs all their infantry. shotgun blas with flamers or a TM MCB snipe or asm jump and banshees must be healed or retreated

regarding techmarine's wargear:
check out TM's armors, they are amazing. bionics is usually people favorite, but artificer mine can gib eldar units. this really makes rangers have to go around the map and clear out the mines, which gives breathing room to your scouts. not only that, both armors give techmarine a lot of hp regen. use him in cover, and you will be able to outshoot in many situation.
because of this regen, techmarine excels at micro-engagements. using your techmarine as a lone wolf will be very useful. if the opponent gets rangers, you can start taking away the models with master crafted bolter - 50/5 down the drain per shot.
just my 2 cent on his T2 shield, it's weird, i personally don't like it too much because it doesn't seem to prevent knockback.

Just wanna be a little bit more precise here.
The TM does around the same dmg as 2 tac models.
(TM=35DPS, 1tac model=14.58DPS)

I would definitely suggest you get the MCB for the Techmarine.
Dual scouts are pretty standard in 1v1.
A shotgun would be nice to help control the banshees together with the MCB.
I wouldn't get the snipers because they will only set you back in the tech race.
Especially since rangers are three times as good as snipers are and cost less.

On some maps you can try to lock down your position with a turret.
Don't forget those. It can be pretty hard to push of a well defended turret.
You have to watch out though because normally you won't see your opponent throw himself at your turret each time. Although I see some people do this instead of flanking or ignoring that part of the map and getting all the other points.
