Installing Mod Question

Hey, so I checked this mod and wanted to play it, but for some reason steam doesn't let me use it. It tell me I should launch the game from steam, even so even on steam doesn't let me launch the game. I was wondering if I have to do something more; I just installed the mod, but no idea what else I have to do.

Huh... That's odd, I am having no such problem..... Did you download the right version setup? Did you use the included shortcut for launching elite mod? Sorry I can't be more helpfull, this hasn't happened to me.

Yeah, I downloaded the right version (I think, it was the 2.4.2), and i think I did launch the right shortcut. I was wondering if I have to do something more ones I installed the mod.

There should be a new Icon for Dawn of War on your Desktop now. Right-Click on it and open the preferences or advanced settings thingy (don't know the english word as my Windows is in german). The command to be executed should look something like this:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 56400 -nomovies -modname Elite

The important part is the -modname Elite. Without this, the Elite Mod will not be started. It will simply start the original version.
