New guy problems

I have recently gotten into elite mod and love everything about "the game". The work that has gone into it blows my mind. I learned of it by watching BbBoS a lot and learned a few things from him. Finally the day comes where I want to begin playing DoW 2 again since the regular retail game released. I load into my first match and learn the hard truths of this community. Most of my games have ended horribly with level 60 player demoralizing anyone not on the same par of game play as them. Believe me, most of the games I join do not have a 30+ or 60+ title so I assume these are for the more casual/learning part of the player base. It seems to always happen even if it is not directed at me. Instead of working together and helping by suggesting helpful strategy, they are just blatantly destroyed with words or a surrender vote. I know I may only be seeing a small portion of the big picture that is this games community but It seems to have gone this way in every game. Sorry for the rant and thank for the read. I figured I would say something and I hope I am just crazy for thinking all this. I still love the game even if every game i play ends in utter defeat. Tech marine is my favorite hero and I look forward to playing with any of you. I also take free hints on how to step up my Space Marine game. GLHF

It can be an issue, unfortunately. There's a beginner group here as well that meets up often. Link:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1927Hopefully you start having more enjoyable games. Not everyone in the community is like that

Sorry to hear that O.P., yea the community has its...err..."Elitest" "quote on quote" whatever that means...but there are some humble players which are relatively quite well versed in their understanding in regards to playing the game, will offer great conversation, & be very well attuned with life wisdom advise that may help you out if there days aren't filled. Like life however, you just have to find the right "community of players within a community" begin to play with them, look for, hopefully find, watch, play against & supportively develop those mentors; while in connection, taking it upon yourself to find your own way ( Direction ) to understanding, developing, creating aspects, and hopefully appreciating the game while indeed surpassing the blatant player capability supremacy, frustration, & / or purpose>objective>connection = win type of players due to your outlook of matters perspective.
Have fun playing Elite Mod mate and welcome to the community.

You are probably the first person to both spell my name right and get the capitalization right
As Windu said, the beginners club should be a good place to start, hopefully you can find some people there that you can play with on a regular basis.
Also you could host your own games as well rather than joining them, that way you can control who is in the game as in making sure people who rage / are rude are not allowed in your lobby so you can have a more pleasant experience with the game

As others have mentioned, check out the newb group that posts on these forums. They are very supportive and a great group with which to develop the core skills.
I know you had a bad intro to some high level players, but there are many top-of-the-line players who will give you tips and even coach you through some games in order to speed up the learning process. Try to catch them online (names like Tex, Crewfinity, and Cyris come to mind).

A lot of players who play low and mid games just play for fun and not to stomp anyone but some of the better players can get quite salty (looks at max) but if you ever want to join a game you could join mine as I host low to mid games most days so if you ever want to play just join and most of the people who play are all in the same boat so dont get discouraged ive been playing for 400 hours and im still a noob

Why are you insulting me like that? If you prick me with a pin, don’t I bleed? If you tickle me, don’t I laugh? If you poison me, don’t I die?
Or to quote an important celebrity of our time: "Pish posh! Listen, Stealth, you and I are like peas in a pod! We're both factory owners, we both made shells for the Nazis, but mine worked, damn it!"

Ok then that was odd. Any way I only said that as on a few times you have threatened to use those "shell" against your team mates (including me

) .
