It can be done already. If you go to

'C:\Users\[your_username]\Documents\my games\Dawn of War II - Retribution\Settings'

You'll find a file called _keydefaults.lua. If you go into that file and change the required keys, then save and delete the "_", it will change the game's hotkeys.

Be sure to make a copy so you remember what you made them, in case of a new patch with new keybindings.

or is ELITE referring to retail keysettings.lua? cause all I found in the Elite _dir is sga-files. that is fucking horror to edit. i dont intend to do this.

ah ok. the original is replaced and still used by vanilla, so the _keydefaults is then used by ELITE.
