Imperial Guards.

Greetings.

I started to play a bit more as IG in vanilla and in Elite mod and there is something weird I found in the models.

Well, the vanilla guardsmen looks more polycount and accurate than the modded ones. What was the decision and why the modmakers wanted to use those old DOW 2 models instead of new ones?

With leveling in Elite mod they looks even worse. Only faces looks better then in retail. I even bought Kriegs because of that but, well, Kriegs are better then both Elite mod and regular GM.

But that model is low poly. I mean srsly, just look at it. Textures are from 2009, Relic made new models for guardsmen for a reason I believe. Sergeant while standing in IG squad looks very awkward, while he is using vanilla model and other guardsmen those outdated ones.

But the low poly Guardsman makes my laptop run better 8-)

I still don't get it? I think the ones in Elite look way better :/

With all respect to the modeler behind it, the models for the imperial guardsmen just lack in quality and the hands are messed up.
Could you, please, reconsider using the vanilla model?
