Saved games file location

I had a question about where the files for saved games for multiplayer matches are located? One of the things I noticed is that with each patch it seems to erase all the saved games. I like to save the really good matches (the ones where you win by like 1 VP) both to see how other people play but also they are fun to watch. I have saved some really good matches and sort of get bummed when they all disappear with each patch that comes out. Anyways to save these files or avoid them getting erased with a new patch? Thanks!

Multiplayer games, if saved, are saved as replays in a slightly different place. Everything should be in [My Documents]/My Games/Dawn of War 2 Retribution (spelling may differ by locale):

/Saved Games :: SP / Campaign saves
/Playback :: MP replays
/Logfiles :: all logging about the game, especially in the event of a crash

I'm at work at the moment so I can't check precisely, but that should point you in the right direction.

And to be clear, I have no idea if DoW II actually manually wipes the replays folder each time the game is patched, but each official patch invalidates replays of a previous version. The underlying data is different, which would lead to potentially-fatal issues in playback. So they're not compatible, unfortunately.

Old .rec files are not deleted, they are just filtered out in-game.
