Preamble:
I'm late on this one, and I apologize for that. That being said, I don't really have much to say about this tournament in particular. I'm putting together the most "standard" tournament as can be on this one.

- I'm a little concerned about this tournament in general because Easter will fall on the Sunday. We may be forced into a Saturday tournament this time.

- I'm actually looking ahead to the next month's tournament because, if things work off like I hope they do, MRT 22 might be the last one-and-done tournament of its type. This is pretty early conceptually, so I'll talk more about it once there's actually concrete things to talk about. I'm consulting the Inner Circle on this one.


General Info:
The complete set of information including Brackets and Participants are listed in the MRT 22 tournament page!

Date:Monthly Rumble Tournament #22 will be on Sunday, March 27th.
Time:17:00 UTC (for help converting the timezone)

The tournament will be played in the 1v1 format with Victory Point Control rules.
The tournament will be welcome to All Skill Levels.
The tournament will be played on the 2.5.1 patch.

Rules:
It's going to be a single elimination tournament and we'll play as many signups as possible.
Refer to the Codex Tournamentus for an overview.

Map Picks
Maps are always selected before hero picks.

The first match of a round will always be a fixed map as shown in the brackets. After this, the map pick will be the losing player's choice. Only maps in the map pool may be played to be considered a valid tournament match.

No map can be played more than once within a round. Each player will have the option to veto a single map during a round, excluding the first match map. Maps that are variants of other maps, such as Pale Tooth Gorge and Green Tooth Gorge, will count as one map and can't be selected in the same round.

Hero Picks

The player on the top side of the bracket cell will lock in their heroes first for the first match. Next game, the player on the bottom side of the bracket cell will lock in their heroes first, and the order will alternate like this until the final game. In the final game of the round, the losing player of the previous match will pick the map and then their hero first.

To check out who is on the top and bottom of your bracket cell, just look at the Brackets page. If your name is in the blue bar, you're the top of the bracket. If it's in the red bar, you're the bottom of the bracket.

There is a list of signups, but I just haven't put the list under the "registrations" tab

This is where you sign up, the registration list will be updated at a later time I think

I can spare the half hour or so it will take to lose 2 games. Count me in.

I won't be home that weekend and will thus not be able to stream :-/
On another note: I nominate BbBoS to take part in this one. Everybody should boycott his stream as long as he did not sign up

And yes, I'll be updating the list later. It's just a fairly low priority compared to everything else I have on the plate.

EDITS:

1) All the people who have signed in are now under the registrations on this thread. Congrats. For those who haven't given me all three heroes, I've taken a crack at guessing some of you guy's preferences due to past tourneys Let me know if you want something different.

2) As a general note, I'm going to update the Prize roster once the Steam sale kicks in for sure. We need some new blood in the prizes. I might just consider cash going forward as well. Let's see if I can burn the rest of the inventory till it starts.

Registered. About the suggestion, I'm not sure. I'll think about it, but tournaments already run anywhere from 4-5 hours just going back-to-back as is.
