lets collect some thoughts on the FC. is he balanced regarding the other SM-commanders?

I find his hammer slightly over the top.

All wargear of FC is totally okay. Everyone just complains about the hammer. Everyone really complains about the Teleport-Hammer combo but it is balanced eather. Just a job of focus fire and it is done.

Short answer: Yes.

The Thunderhammer is in a very good spot right now after the recent nerfs to it. No more infinite tracking which makes it far less potent than it used to be. It is doing exactly what it is supposed to do. Knockback in a certain radius. I am guessing you are looking at this from the IG perspective. Just kite him until the Battle Cry wore off and then fire on him again. Splitting is also important so that he does not tie up all your ranged stuff at once. The only really annoying thing about the Thunderhammer is the combination with the Teleporter Pack. For that, get suppression and bait his teleports. He jumps your HWT? Put it back into the Chimera, done. He jumps your guardsmen? He will get suppressed, split, kite, done.

P.S: The Telehammer combo costs 250/75. It better perform well.

It would work perfectly fine in "FC vs entire IG army" situation. Moving your entire army like that loses you position and you get pushed BACK as the rest of SM squads advances. Next encounter will happen closer your base and so on and by the time you set yourself up scouts will take over the map.

Fist and sword are perfectly potent weapons, just as good as the hammer, just underused due to lack of creativity...

FC's weapons are like the only saving grace of the faction.

So, yes.

The FC is a very balanced hero and any change to him would have to be very slight (like increasing Alacrity's speed bonus by .5 or something). People just complain about the hammer because it's a T2 hard counter to melee (as opposed to T1 like Vials or Bionics) and requires a slight amount of strategy to beat it.

FC wargear seems to be in a pretty good place now tbh.

FC has been broken since someone decided to swap the most awesome Diomedes model with that-lame-eldar-lover-who-had-unleashed-a-freaking-daemon-that-has-been-haunting-the-entire-chapters-asses-until-M42-and-had-gotten-beaten-to-cybersuperman-that-can-jump-and-slam-with-his-thunderhammer-in-terminator-armour.

Tbh FC is easy to counter for inq (all kinds of CC) and slightly less for LG (move move move). I think IG who is butthurted about him is often LC player because Commissar may not have the best answer to teleporting FC with thunderhammer.

TM>FC≥apo anyways...

What exactly makes the FC OTT in comparison to the other two heroes again?

FTE is a good global, but not overpowered. Its strength lies in its versatility, in that it's effective on everything from las devs to asm.
There is no faction that cannot effectively counter assault terminators. Some can even do it in t2. And ranged terminators are often the better choice as FC anyways--once again not an FC specific issue.

So that just leaves wargear. Which is cost effective, especially the power sword and t1 armor options, but once again not OP. Although flesh over steel has remained badly designed since forever, so a rebalancing of the power fist would not be out of the question (remove/rework FoS, lower req cost to 150).

This is a good point. I think that ability was designed while they think that every weapon that FC has needs to do something super special. They are not saying it is the best desing ever, neither do we. FoS is impractical and broken in the same time. I would like to see a whole new ability for that.

Melee Dreads all kinda counter Ass Terms these days with the melee resistance and blood rage or stuns.

IG having trouble with Hammer + Tele combo? You can just retreat and break it once your're away from him. Hell, for the amount of money the FC put in his wargear you can go T3 faster and get out a Leman Russ (which is strong against SM since they don't have a counter to it until T3 when they get a Las Pred).

Well, a snare and a FTE LasDev might be enough as well. But to the question at hand, I repeat, get a Chimera, solve all your problems.

I never said move back. I said split or get into your Chimera. That is what it is there for. Once the FC is forced off, SM will lose the ranged fight again. SM just can't stand against Plasmagun GM with Chimera support and their long-range disruptive units and abilities. The economic tradeoff favors IG heavily. Also, just get suppression if you feel like you are having trouble with the FC. If he is suppressed it is easy as hell to kite. It does take some micro though, as has always been the case for IG.
