Are Sync-Kills gone?

I have played enough DoWII Elite, and have noticed that my melee units aren't sync-killing. I've charged my Wraithlord into squads of 'gaunts, and not once has he grabbed them, stomped them, or impaled them. This is just one example. Can someone answer this for me?

Sync kills were changed to trigger only on the last member of a squad, so you'll only see them when a unit gets wiped. This was put in place due to multiple instances of sync kills making characters almost invulnerable during the animation which really screwed with 1v1 tournaments.

Unfortunately no, they still go off when you wipe the last model of a squad. They look like the bastard child of WWE and Dragonball Z (+lots of needless blood spurts), I've hated them since DOWI.

Huh, well thanks for that. I'm not sure if I like that change, though. I completely understand why this was implemented, but still, I think it would have been better to implement an 'Optional' setting for Sync-Kills in the Elite menu or something, I don't know. Sync-Kills for me always made melee combat that much more satisfying and personal. Never know, maybe the devs'll switch Sync-Kills back to 'anytime' mode, and just add an optional setting. That would appeal to me (and countless others) much more.

Elite mod is for multiplayer - how could it be a customisable option? That would just split the DOW2 community into retail, elite with sync kills and elite without sync kills. We don't want more splitting!

It affects gameplay massively, so obviously you cannot have someone having sync kills and someone not playing in the same game, that just makes no sense. For the sake of balance it is way better how it is now. Sync kills are just another annoying source of RNG in dow that detracts from player skill dictating the winner of games.

Correction, Sync-kills are for those who like a bit of cinematography in fighting, rather than simple drop-down-and-die crap. Doesn't really make me a noob because I like the gratifying animations, seriously...
