IST Fanaticism Proposals - Which, if any, is better?

So atm we have two competing proposals for adjusting Fanaticism. We're butting heads on these so we wanted to get a quick check around the forum to see what you guys say.

Here's what has been mostly agreed upon thus far:

Acolyte leader population cost reduced from 3 to 1.
Acolyte now wields an Eviscerator and Servo Skull instead of a Laspistol and Chainsword.
Acolyte grants the squad a passive 15% damage resistance aura in addition to his 1.25 hp/s regen.

Proposal 1:
This proposal is aimed to make Fanaticism be used as a reflex dodge ability. Ideally, this would be triggered to negate the effect of a grenade or a potent artillery shell.

Fanaticism -
Fanaticism no longer grants suppression resistance and 25% damage resistance.
Fanaticism now grants the squad invulnerability for 2.5 seconds.
Fanaticism energy cost set to 60 and cooldown set to 15 seconds.

Proposal 2:
This proposal aims to make Fanaticism more of a general use ability.
Fanaticism -
Fanaticism no longer grants 90% courage resistance to the squad for its duration.
Fanaticism now grants the squad members immortality for 5 seconds. (still reduces damage by 25%)
5s duration, 20s cooldown, 60 energy.

Do any of these sound good to you guys?

So, to make it super short, IST are having a hard time scaling into T2 because the Acolyte is not really pulling the kind of weight a 85/20 investment should. Fanaticism is a large part of that.

With Ops focusing more as anti-setup, we feel that the courage damage resistance is a very weak perk to the ability, especially at its energy cost. The Sergeant should be the offensive upgrade, while the Acolyte the defensive upgrade. We wanted to work on that theme. Hence, the different immortality/invulnerability proposals.

The ultimate goal here is to make the IST squad scale better in T2, where they are currently dropping models a little too fast.

So this is basically your last chance to put some input on this. Same with Lootas stuff!
