Dawn of War Codex

I remember reading sometime ago about plans to give the OM crusader units, if I remember rightly the problem was modeling them. This is a slapdash solution but I'm curious to know if anyone thinks it's feasible.

Why not just use Heretics as the Crusader base model? Just refluff the garb, add helmets and replace the pistols with shields (that would seem to be the most difficult part). Would that work graphically speaking?

The shields with pistols wouldn't work as you said, due to animations, but sure! If it's that simple, would love to have the files. I remember there being a basic crusader model from what I remember, but don't know if there was any progress since.
